I really think moms got sold this idea that healthy toddler snacks have to involve a Pinterest board, a dehydrator, and twelve hours of free time nobody actually has. Meanwhile the snacks that consistently work in our house are the easiest ones with simple ingredients that everybody steals from each other anyway.
Also if your husband is eating the toddler snacks before the toddler gets them… I need to know what snack it is immediately.

I think a lot of couples are quietly miserable trying to force themselves into roles they never actually chose in the first place. Not because they’re failing, but because they inherited a structure and assumed that meant it was automatically the best option.

Telling our loved ones they are doing their best oftentimes comes from a place of love but is doing more damage than it is actually helping them. Society makes us think having the hard conversations is being unkind, when in fact it is the exact opposite. How de we grow if the people we love and trust are keeping us in the dark when we are not able to see the full picture yet ourselves. Challenge yourself to have those hard conversations, I promise your loved ones will be grateful for it in the long run.
