God, I’ve made a lot of mistakes. I’ve hurt people, caused unnecessary pain, and even when my intentions were good, my missteps always seemed to find their way back to me.

But maybe it’s time to get comfortable with the uncomfortable—to accept not having all the answers, to stop searching for security in anything but myself and my faith. To let go of the need to know if my future is certain or not.

If I’m being honest, most of my mistakes came from trying too hard to put others first, from people-pleasing, from creating a false sense of security for those around me. I thought I was doing the right thing, but in the process, I lost sight of myself.

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately… Some of the pain in my life happened because of me, and some of it happened to me. Some heartaches were the result of my own choices, others the consequences of someone else’s. Either way, I refuse to sit in victimhood. My circumstances are what they are, but I get to decide what happens next. It’s time to bet on myself again.

What’s that old serenity prayer? “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Yeah. This is one of those moments.

I choose peace—with myself, with my past, with my circumstances. I choose joy in the moments that matter. I choose to love myself daily.

It’s time to do me. To trust myself. To put myself first. I won’t forget who I’ve been, but I refuse to give up on who I’m becoming.

This is me—a woman, standing at the threshold of something new, leaving the past where it belongs, and moving forward.
