I don’t openly share about myself on social, but I think this is worth the share. Or maybe not. You decide!

Fear. I’ve always had a sense of fear and doubt within myself growing up. It has stopped me from doing and trying soooo many things from small tasks like choosing an answer to a test, deciding what I should eat based on the nutritional facts, which attribute to list on my resume, to deciding if I go out and spend money socializing with friends, or stay in and be smart with it because ‘fun’ is ONLY for those who are successful.

And there it is. Success has always been defined in my mind as having a certain amount of income. It never was about the relationships built with your family or friends, the confidence you have in yourself, the small tasks that get finished on a daily or weekly basis, the time for self care you set aside to quiet your mind.

I was feeling a lack of success. It didn’t matter what I had done, the awards I had won, or the magazines I was featured in; because the finances didn’t match, I felt unsuccessful and unsatisfied.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how much my fears hold me back while I watch others make things happen - so much that a business mentor/coach told me to read the book, called Mindset Millionaire. I’m normally not a reader but the tone of the book feels like I’m reworking and rewriting my mindset.

That’s what life is. I just needed a switch up on my life perspective and mindset.

So if you can relate or have been feeling the same - here’s to the next chapter of life of simplifying things by having a positive mindset! No regrets, going for it, learning from whatever it is, and repeat!
