Hairstylists, you know when you have one of those rough weeks where you feel like tapping out?? This was one of those weeks. Then you have a new client that seems to make it all go away! Even after 20+ years in the industry you still have those appointments that make you a little nervous and this was one of them lol! I knew I had a challenge ahead! But the hair gods aligned and magic happened! And to say I was blessed with such an incredible client today is an understatement. Kim came in with some beautiful Bellami hair extensions from her previous Stylist in Michigan! She wanted to feel like herself again and this beautiful state of Texas! I think we nailed it❤️❤️

✨ EXTENSION CARE 101 ✨

If you’ve invested in beautiful extensions, let’s make sure they stay looking that way 👏

Whether you have a Hidden Bead Method or a Volume Weft, proper care at home makes ALL the difference in how long your hair lasts and how good it looks between appointments.

💡 DAILY CARE:• Brush gently 2–3x a day (always support your rows!)• Keep heat LOW—extensions don’t repair like your natural hair• Always use a heat protectant before styling• Avoid oils/conditioner directly on the beads

🛁 WASHING:• Wash 2–3x per week max• Use professional, extension-safe products• Focus conditioner mid-length to ends only• Fully dry your rows—never go to bed with wet extensions

😴 NIGHT CARE:• Loose braid or pony before bed• Silk pillowcase = less tangling & breakage

⏰ MAINTENANCE APPOINTMENTS:Not everyone is on the same schedule!

Your move-up timing depends on:• Your natural hair texture• Density• Length of extensions• How fast your hair grows• HOW YOU CARE FOR THEM AT HOME

Some clients need to come in every 6–8 weeks, while others can go longer—but waiting too long can cause matting, tension, and damage.

I just got word from the owners and I’m sorry to report that there was a small electrical fire in our Salon suite this afternoon. until we can get our maintenance guy in to see the damage I’m not sure when we will be open, but please know that we will keep you updated.

Hairdressers can do a lot of amazing things… but reading minds isn’t one of them.

If there’s something you don’t love about your hair, or you want to change direction with the look, please communicate that with your stylist. We truly want you to be happy, but we can only fix or adjust what we know about.

Most hairstylists work long days and nights and put their blood, sweat, and tears into making everyone else feel confident and beautiful. Your hair matters to us — a lot.

Also, a little education moment:
When it comes to toners, sometimes hair grabs differently. Clients who have been getting highlights for years often have more porous hair, especially around the face. That means toner can grab darker or faster in those areas. It happens all the time in the hair world, and the good news is… it’s usually an easy fix.

There’s no reason to panic or stress. It just takes communication with your stylist and either fixing it during your appointment (when you arrive on time) or scheduling a quick adjustment later.
