Many of you knew Kent had been going through testing, so I want to share the update.
Kent has been diagnosed with liver cancer. We’re in the staging phase now and meeting with specialists, so we’re still gathering information and figuring out the plan.
I have mixed feelings about posts like this because they can feel a little performative, but being stoic and keeping everything to myself last time burned me out more than it helped. This time I’m trying to do it differently and let our community know what’s going on.
One of Kent’s good friends texted him and said he’s 4–0 against cancer and plans to make this one 5–0, and that felt like a good mindset to keep right now.
Not looking for sympathy — just a little grace while we figure things out.
We’ll share updates when we know more.
