“My body feels so incredible.” -Laura S.

Sometimes, the best way to describe an experience is simply to share how it made you feel.

The Rooted Body Polish is more than exfoliation. It’s an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your body, and leave feeling renewed from the outside in.

Soft skin. Grounded energy. A body that feels cared for.

And when a client leaves saying, “My body feels so incredible,” …that’s the experience. 🤎🌿

Rooted Body Polish Ritual
A moment to pause.
A moment to receive.
A moment to come back home to yourself.

When you come in for a session with me, I’m not just working on your feet.

I’m reminding you.

That you are worthy.
That you are enough.
That you are capable.
That you are beautiful.
That you don’t have to earn rest.
That it’s okay to pause.
That your body deserves to be listened to.
That you are allowed to receive, too.
That you don’t have to carry everything all the time.
That there is still a person underneath all the doing, caring, giving, holding, and showing up.

Sometimes you don’t need someone to tell you who to become.

You just need a safe space to remember who you already are.

And maybe, while I’m tending to your feet, you get to exhale long enough to hear that voice inside of you again.

The one that says…

You are a beautiful, intelligent, lovely, capable human being.

I’m just here to help you remember. 🤎

What happens when the drum begins to speak?

I know that, as a reflexologist, you may not expect drums or sound to be part of a session. But I sometimes incorporate drumming and other sounds into my work, allowing rhythm and vibration to become part of the experience.

For me, drumming is more than sound. It is rhythm, vibration, presence, and remembrance.

A steady beat gives the nervous system something predictable to orient toward. It can support slower breathing, quiet the mind, and help the body feel more grounded and present.

While science has not proven that drumming physically “releases” fascia, we do know that fascia is richly connected to the sensory nervous system. Sound, rhythm, vibration, breath, and touch can all influence how we experience tension, safety, relaxation, and connection within the body.

So I don’t see the drum as something that forces the body to release.

I see it as an invitation to soften. 🤎

And then there is the part that science cannot fully measure:

The heartbeat of our ancestors.

That ancient rhythm carried through generations.
The rhythm of gathering.
The rhythm of ceremony.
The rhythm of healing.
The rhythm that reminds us we have never been separate from the earth, from one another, or from the wisdom held within us.

When I play my elk drum, I listen as much as I play.

I listen for what the rhythm awakens.
I listen for what the body is ready to soften.
I listen for the quiet places within.

Maybe healing is not always about pushing ourselves to let go.

Maybe it is about becoming still enough to hear the rhythm.

Your body has wisdom. Long before we learned to push through, it knew when it was time to pause.

Sometimes that wisdom shows up as feeling like you’re always “on.”

The tension you can’t seem to release.
The tiredness that rest doesn’t seem to touch.
The shallow breath.
The overwhelm.
The difficulty slowing down when the day is finally over.

Our bodies carry so much...not just from what we’re doing today, but from the ways we’ve learned to survive, provide, nurture, and keep going.

And sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is remember:

We were never meant to be in survival mode all the time.

In this moment, I’m working the adrenal reflex point through reflexology, not to force the adrenals to do anything, but as part of an intentional practice of relaxation and receiving.

A gentle reminder to the body:

You can soften here.
You can breathe here.
You don't have to carry everything in this moment.

This is some of the wisdom I love bringing into my work, honoring the body, slowing down enough to listen, and creating space for restoration.

Because self-care isn't always about adding more.

Sometimes it's about coming back to yourself.

Pour into you.
Listen to your body.
Let yourself be held. 🤎

If your body has been asking for a pause, perhaps this is your invitation. 🌿

Desert Magic was truly a beautiful experience. 🌵✨

A celebration of native plants, food, ritual, and community and I was honored to be part of it alongside Garcia Brandie , the beautiful soul behind Soak In Love and Gabe massage therapist.

Together, we created an atmosphere where people could slow down, connect, and experience some of the ways plants and intentional self-care can support our relationship with the body, mind, and spirit.

I had the honor of offering custom herbal tea blends and guided tea meditation, inviting guests to pause, sip, breathe, and connect with the plants in a more intentional way. 🌿☕️

Alongside that, Brandi shared the spirit of Healing Spirit Soaks and the beautiful practice of herbal soaking creating space for the body to relax, release, and receive through water, herbs, and ritual.

We also had the opportunity to share how practices like herbalism, reflexology, sound, and soaking can become beautiful tools for self-care.

•Herbs can bring us into deeper relationship with nature while supporting intentional nourishment and ritual.

•Reflexology uses intentional touch and pressure on the feet to encourage relaxation and body awareness.

• Herbal soaking creates a soothing sensory experience that invites the body to slow down and settle while connecting with the restorative qualities of plants.

•Sound can create a calming environment that encourages stillness, presence, and relaxation.

And perhaps the most important part…

You don't have to wait until you're depleted to receive care.

Self-care can be a ritual.
A pause.
A cup of tea.
A sound.
A touch.
A soak.
A moment to simply breathe and come back to yourself.

That is what made Desert Magic so special—the opportunity to share these practices with community and remind one another that wellness can be simple, intentional, connected to nature, and deeply personal. 🤎

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared space with us, sipped tea, listened, connected, and allowed us to pour a little love into your day.

And if you feel called to experience these practices beyond the event, we invite you to come experience them with us.

Why soak your feet in herbs? 🌿🦶🏽

Because sometimes your body needs a moment to slow down before it can truly receive.

A warm herbal foot soak is more than simply putting your feet in water. The warmth helps encourage circulation, soften the skin, relax the feet and lower legs, and prepare the feet to receive intentional touch and reflexology.

The herbs add another layer to the experience. Depending on the plants chosen, an herbal infusion can provide soothing, antioxidant, astringent, or skin-supportive properties while their natural aromas engage the senses and help create a calming experience.

And while herbs aren't simply absorbed through the soles and carried throughout the body the way some wellness claims suggest, the combination of warm water + plant constituents + aroma + intentional care can create a beautiful therapeutic ritual.

For me, the foot soak is also a transition.

A moment to come out of your head and back into your body.

The feet are washed, warmed, softened, and prepared… and then we begin the reflexology.

Because before we ask the body to release, sometimes we have to first give it permission to receive. 🤎🌿

This is why I don't see the herbal foot soak as just a soak. It's the beginning of the ritual.

Before the reflexology begins, I like to prepare the feet first. 🤎

I wrap the feet in warm towels to gently cleanse them, soften the skin, and create a warm, welcoming foundation for the work that’s about to begin.

While the feet are wrapped, I begin working up the legs, from the ankles toward the knees and along the backs of the calves. This helps release some of the tension that we often carry in our legs and gives the body a chance to start settling before I even begin working the reflex points on the feet.

It’s more than just warming up the feet.

It’s a transition.

A moment to slow down, breathe, receive, and let the body know, you don’t have to hold everything right now.

Then we move into reflexology. 👣

Because sometimes the feet don’t just need to be worked…
they need to be welcomed first.

I have availability next week comment "pour" to claim your session.

Sometimes we get so used to being needed, touched, giving, carrying, and pushing through even when something inside of us is saying, this doesn’t feel right, that we forget what it feels like to be held gently.

And maybe you don’t know what it feels like to be held gently because you’ve spent too much time being handled without care, without consideration, without you or someone really paying attention to what you needed.

But experiencing something different starts with you giving yourself permission to receive it.

Maybe it’s time to pause.

To listen to your body.
To notice what you need.
To stop rushing past yourself just to take care of everything and everyone else.

Hold yourself gently, too.

You deserve to experience care that doesn’t ask you to perform, produce, or push through.

You deserve tenderness. 🤎

Comment “HELD” and I’ll send you the link to schedule your moment of gentle pause, a time to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and be held energetically and intentionally through the Body Polish Ritual.

Come as you are.
Let yourself receive. 🤎

This is more than a body polish. This is a whole-body reset. 🤎

My Body Polish Ritual was inspired by the Ayurvedic practice of Udvartana—a traditional herbal powder treatment that uses botanical powders and intentional massage to exfoliate, stimulate the skin and awaken the body.

But, as with everything I offer, I’ve made it my own and created an experience around it that feels like Pour.

When you arrive, we begin with a cup of herbal tea from Love In A Cup | Where Tea's A Vibe! . Something warm to sip, a moment to settle in, and an invitation to slow down before we even begin.

From there, you’ll spend a few minutes in the sauna.

The warmth helps you relax, encourages circulation, and prepares the skin to receive the botanical treatment that comes next. It’s not about rushing into the next step. It’s about allowing the body to gradually warm, soften and prepare.

Then comes the botanical powder.

My blend includes oat flour, arrowroot, neem, green tea, amla, ginger, rose and cinnamon. Each botanical brings something different to the experience.

The powders gently exfoliate the skin, helping to lift away dry, dull surface skin and leaving the body feeling soft, smooth and refreshed.

And the way I apply it matters.

I use intentional circular and sweeping movements rather than simply rubbing the powder onto the body. These movements help with exfoliation while encouraging circulation and supporting the body's natural lymphatic movement.

Slow. Intentional. Purposeful.

This is where the experience becomes more than skincare.

You’re receiving botanical care, therapeutic touch, warmth and space to breathe—all at the same time.

Once the polishing is complete, the botanical blend is removed with warm towels, leaving your skin feeling renewed and your body feeling cared for.

And then comes one of my favorite parts…

You’re invited to settle in and receive sound healing or a gentle drumming journey with my elk drum.

This is your time to be still.

To breathe.

To listen.

To allow everything that just happened in the body to settle.

Because I don't believe self-care should feel like another thing on your to-do list.

Sometimes self-care is simply allow
