PSA-
I’m going to be extremely clear because I’m done having this conversation over and over.
When you book an appointment with me, you’re agreeing to my cancellation policy. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or don’t show up, you’re responsible for the full cost of the service you booked.
I’m not on a salary. I’m not paid by the hour. I don’t get paid unless I’m working on a client who shows up. Every appointment on my schedule is income I’ve set aside time for, sometimes weeks in advance.
I hear every excuse imaginable.
“My kid got sick.”
“My car broke down.”
“I forgot.”
“I didn’t budget for it.”
“I decided to do something else.”
Life happens. I truly understand that. But my rent is still due. My utilities are still due. My supplies still cost money. The bank doesn’t waive my bills because someone couldn’t make their appointment.
With the economy the way it is and the number of nail techs in the area, filling a last-minute opening is almost impossible. It’s even more frustrating when I’ve opened a day I don’t normally work specifically to accommodate someone.
I already try to meet people halfway. If enough notice is given, I’ll work with you. If life throws you a curveball, I’ll do my best to reschedule you for the following week when I can. I am not unreasonable.
What I won’t do anymore is apologize for having boundaries.
Running an appointment-only business means your appointment matters. When you don’t show up, it doesn’t just disappear. That time can’t magically be replaced, and that lost income affects my family. I have 4 kids and 1 on the way- you take away from them, when you take away from me.
If my cancellation policy doesn’t work for you, that’s completely okay. There are plenty of salons that operate differently. But if you book with me, you’re agreeing to my policies, and I expect them to be respected just as I respect your time when I reserve that appointment for you.
This isn’t me being mean. This is me running a professional business. So if you want to get ugly and disrespectful and no show your appointment, I will now be having a separate folder where I will be putting you on blast with the “excuse” you’ve given me to make sure that not only are you held accountable by your peers, but the others know not to take you because of your actions and behaviors. There is already a a blacklist page out here for this specifically so you’ll be posted there as well.
If you can’t hold your appointment and be a decent human being about it, well that makes two of us then. Cause that was my last straw of being taken advantage of out here. Follow the rules or get posted. Don’t like it, don’t come here. But there are absolutely consequences to your actions.
Thankfully, this doesn’t happen often, but when it does. It absolutely grinds my gears. You can head down to the place in the mall if you want subpar work and to act that way. Because in this shop , we have respect and dignity.✨👏🏻
She’s got a birthday AND concert coming up- so what did we do?
Gave her that magnetic iconic red, we all can’t get enough of. Seriously- I have to buy a new bottle. 😅
She loved the holo look of my arm rest, so we slipped in some classic holo to continue her LOOK AT ME energy. 💁🏼♀️
Buuuttttttt we didn’t stop there. Thermal changing polish goes from black all the way through the shades until we get to a white. Slapped some cherries on there to give a hide and seek, type of fun. Won’t be able to see em when they’re cold, but when she SPICES up, we will get to peep em! 🥵😍
Absolutely still needing to make sure I have something COLD 🥶 on hand to get those big differences in color- but these weren’t too shabby for cold water in a bit toasty suite.
Let’s get yours booked next!
Yall kept me busy tonight!
Witty captions tomorrow- Im beat tired and headed to bed.! Haha.

Well… last week life decided to humble me in a way it never has before. 🫠
For the first time in 34 years, I was in a car accident.
Thankfully everyone, including the other driver, walked away okay. That’s what matters most. ❤️
Now for the part where I get to publicly roast myself…
Remember that insurance payment I was “totally gonna pay”? Yeah. Turns out life doesn’t accept “my bad” as a form of payment. 😂 Between life being expensive and trying to keep all the plates spinning, I let it slip a little too long… and boy did I make that mistake at the worst possible time.
So… your girl has some unexpected bills knocking on the door.
Instead of crying into a family-size bag of chips (okay… maybe a little), I figured I’d do what I know best.
✨ BOGO is back! ✨
Now through the end of September:
• Buy any service and get the same service 50% off.
• Full set? Your next fill is 50% off.
• Must be the same service (we can’t Frankenstein a manicure and a pedicure together. I admire the creativity though. 😂)
Whether you’ve been thinking about treating yourself, you’ve been putting off your appointment, or you’ve been lurking from the sidelines, now’s the perfect time to get on my books.
Starting next week I’ll also have some daytime availability, so hopefully there’s a time that works for everyone!
This offer is open to new clients, returning clients, and those of you who haven’t seen me in a while.
💅🏻To my VIP regulars: I didn’t forget about you. Since you don’t really benefit from the BOGO, I’ll be adding complimentary spa upgrades to your appointments as a thank you for always sticking with me. Y’all keep my little business alive, and I appreciate you more than you know.
And don’t forget…
👯 Refer a friend and you BOTH still get $5 off!
If you’ve ever thought, “I should really book with Holly,” this is your sign from the universe… or from my questionable financial decisions. 😂
Seriously though, thank you all for supporting this little business, for laughing with me through life’s chaos, and for always showing up. I appreciate every single one of you.
Now… who’s ready for pretty nails and helping me dig myself out of the “I should’ve paid my insurance” club? 😅
