Locs & Whimsy
Wellness lived through daily rhythm.
At the beginning of this challenge, my goal wasn’t to just finish. I wanted to feel different.
I wasn’t trying to do everything at once. I wanted a softer reset—something I could actually sustain.
For the first two weeks, I kept it simple: walking. That’s it.
During weeks three and four, I gradually added light strength training + core , resistance bands and dumbbells while continuing my daily walks.
Nothing extreme.
Nothing complicated.
Just showing up consistently.
A few things really stood out to me during this challenge:
🌿 Walking is still one of the most underrated forms of movement.
🌿 You don’t have to do everything at once to make progress.
🌿 Start where you are. Use what you have. Build from there.
🌿 Consistency matters more than intensity.
🌿 Recovery matters just as much as the movement.
One of my biggest takeaways was realizing that my body needs true recovery days, not just active recovery days. Between daily movement and creating content, my sleep wasn’t as consistent as I wanted it to be. Going forward, protecting my recovery will be just as important as movement.
This challenge reminded me that progress doesn’t have to come from doing anything extraordinary. It comes from showing up consistently.
The progress is rewarding, but the habit I strengthened means even more.
This chapter was about rebuilding my habits.
The next one will be about building strength. 🌿🤍✨

The things we repeat every day rarely feel significant in the moment.
Over time, they quietly become part of the person you are becoming.
Sometimes what begins as discipline eventually becomes a place you feel most like yourself.

One of my favorite breakfasts because it keeps me satisfied for hours.
Simple to prepare, easy to customize, and packed with ingredients that make every bite feel both nourishing and delicious.
Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
One of those favorites that’s easy to come back to again and again. ☺️
Have you ever tried chia pudding?

🍳✨
One of my favorite weekend meals.
People see the finished plate. What they don't always see is the little bit of extra time it took to get there.
Little moments in the kitchen.
Fresh ingredients.
Music playing.
No rush.
None of it is complicated. It just takes a little longer.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped seeing that extra time as an inconvenience.
I started seeing it as time I was spending with myself.
I've learned that some of the things that make me feel my best take a little longer.
The meal is part of it.
But the time I spend with myself while making it...
I enjoy that even more. ☺️
