It’s been awhile since I’ve had a moment to post 🫶 This last week was a really sweet one though. I made it up to Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania for my wonderful sister-in-law’s wedding. It was especially sweet that she is a midwife in the same community that I learned Craniosacral Fascial Therapy in almost ten years ago now. I visited some of the same spots and met so many like-minded people in our short week together. Back to work today and thankful for this last year of young motherhood all over again and grateful to be running a business I feel so deeply passionate about. I’m back to cell service too so if you’ve messaged me, I’ll be doing my best to return all texts today!

Laura and Erin spent much of last week in Houston learning from the incredible Susan Vaughn Katz in her infant bodywork course. We loved the content just as much as the time together. Always growing, always learning — all for our East Texas babes 🫶

Laura, here ☺️

As I transition back from maternity leave, I want to thank you for the patience, care, and warm check-ins that made this time with Anna June even more meaningful. We’ve so enjoyed all the snuggles and stretches-this babe has her guppy position down 😆

Books are now open for October 🫶 I’ll see you then!

Super excited to offer this homemade formula how-to. I made this for my own twins 12 years ago and plan on making it for this babe too 💛 If you’ve ever seen this formula recipe and maybe been intimidated by it or know someone who might benefit from the class, we’d love to take any fear out of the equation!

Ten years with the Fleisher family 🥳 Such a sweet morning with a client I’ve seen every two weeks for the last ten years. There are not many relationships in life that get to claim that type of consistency and I’m lucky to have had some of the very best clients turn friends over the years. Cheers to many more!

We had a great time with and their up and coming instructors in the last few weeks. Laura was able to talk all things diaphragm!

We focused on the QL, paraspinals and iliospoas and how those muscular movements (or lack thereof) can affect deep breathing and vice versa. How we move our body and how we breath are mirrored 🫶

Learning how to breathe often comes alongside learning how to move your body well. If you’ve come in for our My Center appts at you’ll receive core bodywork that supports better expansion in the diaphragm. Following up with great movement instructors (like 😍) can make all the difference in creating consistent change and depth in breathing!

Did you know that most of what we are looking for in a child is not necessarily tension but imbalances? We are comparing movement and tone between the right and left side of the body and front and back of the body. We absolutely want to see calm and relaxed babies but so much can be achieved when we shift our focus from how much “tension” is in the body to, “where can we create balance?”.

Craniosacral Myofascial work aims to do just that. With an understanding of what reflexes may need integration to what movement patterns are required at different stages, to where to stimulate muscle activation and neurological connection. We care about the whole body and how it’s working together. The difference is subtle but can change a whole appointment and dialogue around what needs may actually need to be addressed when we shift to assessing equal movement.

Here’s to balance! 🎉
