Remember this video? Two years ago this month, we took all of our stuff and moved ti Valparaiso, IN. Most of our friends thought we we’re making a big mistake. Many criticized us so harshly that we had to unfriend them. I feared I wouldn’t survive the harsh, cold, snow winters and rainy weather. But, I promised myself I’d do everything possible to adjust and enjoy. I was a decades-long martial artist, I was a toughie, I had survived worse, I could do this! And it worked!

Two years later, I learned that with enough love and affection from the grandchildren, my son and my delightful daughter-in-law, you can do anything!
I learned to focus on the positives of living in the Midwest: The 4 seasons, the safe cities, the friendly citizens, the lower cost of living, and the more relaxed, traditional, and down-to-earth way of life. While I miss my clients and friends daily, I’m creating the last part of my journey with peace. If you have to move, don’t be afraid. It’s better than staying where you no longer belong. People change, situations change.
