Anna and I may come from completely different corners of the world, but somehow we make the most wonderful “woo woo” team. We’re both moms of three, partners to very cute dudes, business owners, and magical women trying to build lives and businesses that feel aligned with who we are.

She reminds me to go with the flow, loosen up, and not take everything so seriously. I bring a little organization, structure, and my ever-present need to be prepared 😂 Together—It just works.

From our vendor booth pop-ups at the Gorge to the incredible humans we get to meet along the way, I’m so grateful that this friendship has become part of the magic. ✨

We may be different in so many ways, but underneath it all, we share a deep appreciation for real connection, intuition, laughter, a little sparkle, and creating spaces where people feel seen.

✨ Wellness Wave Day 12: Celestial Esthetics ✨

I visited Lo🖤 || Solo Esthetician || for a facial with Lauren, and I have to admit… I had a LOT of questions. 😂

It had probably been about 20 years since my last facial, so I genuinely wasn’t sure what to expect or even what all a facial entails these days. Lauren was so chill and kind and patiently explained everything I asked along the way, which immediately made the whole experience feel comfortable.

And I have to say, I get it now. 😌

Your skin is your largest organ, and while I’ve spent a lot of time throughout this Wellness Wave exploring things that support the body in different ways, it made sense to take some time to focus on caring for the skin that literally covers all of it.

The experience itself was incredibly relaxing, and Lauren made it easy to just settle in and enjoy it. And as someone who apparently waited TWO DECADES between facials… I’m thinking I probably shouldn’t do that again. 😂

🌊 Wellness Wave Day 12: Complete!

Back-to-school season: where you make plans two weeks in advance thinking, “Look at me! I’m so organized!” 😍

And then someone comes home with the sniffles and suddenly your entire calendar is a work of fiction.

So here’s your reminder to schedule that Reiki treatment for the WHOLE family before the back-to-school sickies come knocking. ✨

Can Reiki guarantee nobody gets sick? Nope. But can it be a beautiful way to slow down, reset, and support your family’s overall sense of well-being? Absolutely.

🌊Wellness Wave👋 Day 11 🪓🔥

Okay, hear me out…axe throwing is wellness. 😂

Maybe it doesn’t look like the typical “wellness” activity, but sometimes taking care of yourself means stepping completely outside the usual routine, laughing until your cheeks hurt, trying something new, and—occasionally—getting to throw something really hard!!

I took my husband to Firehouse Axes for a little date night, and honestly, it was such a fun way to connect, be competitive, laugh at ourselves, and get out a little healthy anger. (I’m looking at YOU, Luteal Phase!!)

Because wellness isn’t always about being still or relaxed or calm. Sometimes it’s about PLAY. CONNECTION. MOVEMENT. AND LETTING OFF SOME STEAM.

This would also be such a fun group activity with friends, a girls’ night, or even a unique way to celebrate something together.

And full transparency: I was gifted a month of free axe throwing simply for leaving a Google review of their business! So if you’ve been meaning to leave a review for a local business you love, consider this your reminder. ❤️

Wellness Wave — Day 10 🌊✨

Today’s Wellness Wave took me to Radiate Beauty, where I met Sunny and experienced vibroacoustic therapy for the very first time!

I’ll be honest… I wasn’t really sure what to expect going into this one. 😆 But the moment I put on the headphones, covered my eyes, and took a deep breath, the experience began.

Music and resonance filled my inner and outer space while vibrations on the bed beneath me moved through my body with the different tones—almost like I was being surrounded by sound from head to toes. 🎶

And then… I just let go.

Over the next 30 minutes, I found myself dipping in and out of awareness, completely relaxed. By the time it was over, my body felt like it had rested for hours and yet still felt energized with the after effects of the vibration.

What I loved most was how different this felt from so many of the wellness experiences I’ve tried. There was nothing I needed to do. No stretching, no talking, no trying to quiet my mind. Just listening, breathing, and allowing my body to receive.

I can absolutely imagine vibroacoustic therapy being a beautiful supportive experience for people with all kinds of emotional and physical needs—and I’m so grateful the Wellness Wave keeps introducing me to modalities I might not have otherwise tried. 💛

Another new experience, another little ripple. 🌊

Day 8 of the Wellness Wave 🌊✨

Today’s wave carried me into the brand-new More Love space from Heights Yoga — and I absolutely loved discovering what they’re creating here.

More Love is a beautiful new space of makers, massage therapists, estheticians, and other local wellness businesses, with mini shops throughout the space where local makers can showcase their work. It feels like one of those places you could wander into “just to look” and somehow leave with a new favorite small business. 😂

But my reason for being there was a first for me: a Korean lash lift & tint with Alicia from The Skin Garden. 🤍

Alicia had the most beautiful space, and honestly, one of my favorite parts of the experience was the conversation we shared while she worked her magic. It’s always amazing finding someone else who gets your “woo” 😉

I’ll admit that doing things purely for my outward appearance can be tricky for me. Sometimes I have a hard time giving myself permission to indulge in something that feels like it’s just about looking a little better.

But maybe there’s more to it than that.

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul… and there’s something really lovely about caring for the windows, too. ✨

Because when I feel a little more confident in how I look, I notice that confidence changes how I move through the world. It lights something up inside me. And I think that counts as self-care, too.

So yes, I got my lashes lifted. But I also left feeling cared for, connected, and a little more like the version of myself I want to bring into the world.

🌊 Wellness Wave — Day 8

Today’s ripple took me to beem Vancouver-Grand Central where I tried BOTH red light therapy and an infrared sauna for the very first time!

First impressions? ✨ SO clean. SO organized. SO welcoming.

I got an informative little tour before my treatment that answered all of my questions and helped me understand all the benefits.

I settled into my own private sauna session. And here’s the part I really loved…

I fully turned off my phone.

No scrolling. No messages. Just me, some heat, and a little uninterrupted time to actually be present.

I moved through a few gentle yoga postures, gave myself a Reiki treatment, and then the sweat really started pouring. 🔥

There was something so simple about having that uninterrupted space to connect with my body and just… be.

And then came the cool towels at the end. 🥹

Absolutely heavenly.

I walked out feeling like a wonderfully melted puddle — relaxed, refreshed, and very grateful that I gave myself an hour to unplug.

Another reminder from the Wellness Wave that wellness doesn’t always have to mean doing more. Sometimes it means creating the space to slow down, disconnect, and let yourself receive.

If you’ve never tried infrared sauna or red light therapy, Beem was such a lovely first experience for me!
