Originally from Southern California, Nef has been making Virginia Beach home for the past nine years with her wife (who's in the Navy) and their three dogs... though if you ask her, that number is definitely not high enough. 🐶😌

She's been behind the chair since 2007, and one of the things she loves most about this industry isn't just creating beautiful hair - it's building genuine friendships with the people who sit in her chair. She's endlessly curious, always learning, and passionate about growing her craft so every client gets exactly what they need.

Outside the salon, you'll probably find her reading a good book, working on an arts & crafts project, or convincing her wife that they absolutely have room for one more dog.

But that's not the only option.

Michelle strategically placed highlights where the client's gray naturally grows, creating dimension, softness, and a grow-out that's WAY more forgiving and lower maintenance.

We hosted our first NACE workshop and somehow nobody had a timeline emergency. 🎉😌

"Thriving Throughout the Timeline" was all about something the wedding and events industry doesn't talk about enough: how to take care of ourselves while taking care of everybody else.

The result?

A room full of amazing local professionals, yoga mats, great drinks, lots of laughter, meaningful conversations, and a reminder that community is one of the most important tools we have.

We spend so much time helping create unforgettable experiences for other people. It was nice to spend a day investing in ourselves for a change.
