Brushing dry curly hair separates the curl clumps and creates unnecessary frizz. When the bristles catch the tangles they cause the hair to snap leading to split ends. Splitting causes more frizz and frizz leads to loss of definition of the curls.
To make matters worse, dry hair does not stretch like wet hair. Dry hair has friction and brushing through it dry causes mechanical damage to the curl pattern… Permanently!

Instead do these:
✔️ Detangle in the shower.
✔️ Use conditioner with a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush.
✔️ On clean hair, dampen hair with a water bottle.
✔️ Start at the ends and work upward.
