🌧️💚 When it rains, it pours… literally. 💚🌧️

Mother Nature had other plans for me today, so I ended up taking a day off from the salon after last night’s weather. While it wasn’t exactly how I planned to spend my day, I’m choosing to slow down, stay safe, and enjoy a little unexpected downtime.

The silver lining? ✨

I finally get to spend some time looking through our maternity photos and soaking in this season of life. As we get closer to meeting sweet Raven Jane, these photos already mean more to me than I can put into words. 🩷

So I’ve decided that every week from now until she’s here, I’ll be sharing one of my favorite photos from our maternity session. Consider it a little countdown to her arrival and a way for me to document this chapter with all of you who have followed along on this journey. 🥹✨

Some days, I honestly have to stop and remind myself just how much life is changing right now. 🥹

I'm preparing to welcome our sweet baby girl, Raven Jane, into the world while also continuing to pour my heart into the business I've spent years building. Between appointments, schedules, planning for maternity leave, and getting ready for motherhood, life has been beautifully busy.

There are definitely days that feel long, but I know these moments are going to be some of the most cherished memories of my life. 💕

Being a small business owner is rewarding. Being a mom-to-be is rewarding. Doing both at the same time? That's a whole different kind of adventure. ✨

I'm so grateful for every client who has supported me, encouraged me, followed along on this journey, and trusted me through all of life's seasons. Your kindness means more than you'll ever know. 💚

As I head into my third trimester, I'm trying to soak it all in—the salon conversations, the baby kicks between appointments, the excitement, the chaos, and all the beautiful moments in between.

There's something special about slow Sundays. 💚

For me, it's a chance to slow down, recharge, and prepare for the week ahead. You'll usually find me doing a little skincare, meal prepping for busy days at the salon, catching up on laundry, loving on my fur babies, and enjoying a slower morning before the week begins.

Lately, these reset days have become even more important as I prepare for motherhood and try to soak in these last few months before Raven Jane arrives.

I've learned that taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's necessary. A little planning, a little self-care, and a little quiet time can make all the difference when Monday rolls around.

And this week's reset comes with something extra special...

As part of winding down and being present in this season of life, we'll be having our maternity photo session this week. It's hard to believe we're already at this point in our journey. Between preparing for our baby girl, running businesses, and getting ready for all the changes ahead, I'm trying to make a conscious effort to slow down and capture these moments before they're gone. 💚

Because one day, these photos won't just be pictures—they'll be memories of the season when Raven Jane was still growing, kicking, and making us fall in love with her before we even met her.
