We’ve been in Houston at the h+h americas show and what a fun time we’ve had!
*
Not only did we enjoy showing off our brand new product and spending time chatting with visitors from all over the U.S. and abroad, it was really great being surrounded by so much beauty and inspiration, including this little gem by Wendy Sheppard, Wendy Sheppard.
*
Wendy is one of the most prolific quilters we’ve ever met and she’s been a Hobbs fan for many, many years. *
And did you know she’s quite an accomplished cross stitcher? Her detailed work is truly something to behold and her daughter, Gwen, is following in her footsteps.
*
And what’s Wendy’s favorite Hobbs batting? That would be our Tuscany Silk batting, a lightweight, breathable batting with an amazing hand and drape!
*
We hope it’s been a great show for everyone who exhibited and attended and we look forward to seeing you at the next h+h americas show in Chicago next May!

We’ve had such a great time at the h+h americas show in Houston this week!

We soft-launched a brand new product, shared numerous awesome projects by designers who love using our batting, and gave you a chance to WIN $250 Worth of Hobbs Batting.
*
One of the projects we stated is this Daisy Chain quilt by Christa Watson, featuring her brand new fabric collection Quilt in Color for Riley Blake Designs.
*
Christa chose our Tuscany Cotton batting for this fun quilt and she’s made it in both this dark version and in a light version - it’s great to have choices, right?!
*

And once again, we’re sharing one of the many wonderful creatives sharing their creations in our booth at the h+h americas show in Houston.

This is the talented and generous Terri Vanden Bosch sharing the many projects, as well as her fabrics with Lumin Fabrics and thread collection with Aurifil Thread, during a meet & greet in our booth yesterday.
*
Her Courageous Joy imitative is a wonderful program hosted by retailers that encourages us crafty folks to create items for those undergoing treatment for cancer.
*
As a breast cancer survivor, Terri knows first-hand what types of handmade gifts are sure to be appreciated by those receiving treatment.
*
From cuddly and warm wraps to heart-shaped pillows that protect a patient’s port from seatbelts, to pretty mats for covering those cold, metal hospital tray tables, and tote bags to carry everything one needs to and from the many doctor’s appointments a cancer patient goes to, there are patterns and instructions to help you create something heartfelt.
*
And Terri’s cheery new fabrics and colorful new threads make creating a fun experience for the maker.
*
And which batting does Terri prefer?
*
