Market on Main

After a very long, and much needed sabbatical from barn quilts, I had a wonderful class at the Piedmont Saddle Club. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get pictures of all of them, but I thought I'd share a few that I did get. I had 23 all together and I enjoyed every minute of it! Much thanks to Terri Davenport for organizing this class and the delicious food! Now that my parents are settled in their new place, I may have more time to do more classes this year, so feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in organizing a class. 😊🖌️🎨

I forgot to post a picture of my own barn quilt! I certainly don't get to paint as often as I'd like. I did this one to compliment my peonies 😊.

Today wraps up 4 classes in 2 weeks creating 89 new barn quilts (not counting the to-go kits I sold after class). I'm very proud of all my students brave enough to learn my free hand technique to paint (meaning no tape is used). Paint cups were provided for anyone that wasn't able to finish in class. Now to get started on my private take home kit orders that I've gotten behind on and then some time off. 😉

Thank you to Diamond P Farms for organizing this fun class last night!! We had a wonderful time painting 23 mini barn quilts!! This is just the cutest space for hosting a ladies night out!! A great big thank you to Kay Calzolari for organizing this fun class of "minis" yesterday at Rural Hall Christian Church in Rural Hall, NC. I had a wonderful time and was very impressed with all the talent! Looking forward to working with you all again in the future!

Many thanks to Becky Surratt and Unity Moravian Church for hosting a lovely barn quilt class yesterday in Lewisville, NC. We were able to get a good start on 23 new barn quilts! Looking forward to seeing pictures of them when they're finished!

What a day!! Just look at what this huge talented group of ladies accomplished in only 3 hours of painting! I had all the boards (31 of them) sanded, primed, and pre-drawn, but they took off and got such amazing starts on them that I couldn't be prouder!! Thank you so much to Bonnie Fain Roach for organizing and handling all registration for this class, and Kate Elizabeth for all the photos and hands on paint pouring and more!! Already looking forward to our November class at the The Homeplace Vineyard !!

A very small, but fun class today in Axton, Virginia. Thank you to Tammy Collins for organizing this class. Everyone really did a nice job and got a good start on their barn quilts. Not bad for a 4 hour class.
