I’m excited to join Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. – Zeta Rho Chapter as the featured speaker for their Business Month Book Club!
We’re getting real about what it means to actually take care of yourself while building a career.
If you’ve been running on empty, this conversation is for you.

Roadtrip for the win! One of my worst traits is to desire to do something but not take action. Mix that in with my anxiety and then the thing passes me by.
I almost let that happen with this exhibit.
The thing that stuck out to me is that he dresses everybody (type). The mannequins were healthy! And the fabrics were lush yet delicate.
Also stop by when you are in the area for one of her amazing flavors.
Picked up my own book today and whew…
I wrote Get Serious About Self-Care: A Lifeline for Career-Driven Women Struggling with Overwhelm, Overwork and Overcommitment because I know what it feels like to hold everything together while quietly running on empty.
If you’ve been putting yourself last, this book is for you.
3 reasons I hope you’ll read it:
1️⃣ I share the exact self-care practices that helped me move from burnout to balance.
2️⃣ It will help you release guilt and stop overgiving at the expense of your well-being.
3️⃣ You’ll learn how to protect your energy and show up fully for the life you’re building.

I didn’t really set goals or resolutions this year. I just wanted to get in tune with myself. Let the spirit lead me. One way I did that was to learn and honor my hunger and fullness cues. As a result I kept a stable weight in 2025! 📶
I also worked on unlearning toxic diet and weight loss culture. ❤️
