Your wedding spray tan should be one of the easiest parts of getting ready for your big day. But timing matters, prep matters and having someone who understands how a tan needs to photograph in a white dress REALLY matters.

At The Bronzed Belles, bridal spray tans are kind of our thing.

We work with brides from Weatherford, Fort Worth, Parker County and all over North Texas to create a completely customized wedding-day glow. No one-color-fits-all formulas. No guessing how dark you should be. No hoping it looks right next to your dress, makeup and wedding colors.

We recommend a trial tan at least one month before your wedding, then your final bridal spray tan 2–3 days before the big day. Nails, waxing and other beauty appointments should happen before your tan so your spray tan is the final touch.

22 years in business and I still don’t have it all figured out.

I make decisions that don’t work. I’ve had to change policies that pi**ed people off because what we were doing wasn’t sustainable. We’ve had unhappy clients. I’ve made exceptions trying to make someone happy that ended up biting us in the ass. I’ve spent money I probably shouldn’t have spent. I’ve worried about revenue. I’ve questioned myself more times than I could count.

And for almost two years now, we’ve had a major bottleneck with our space. We need three spray rooms and a third spray tanner, but right now we simply don’t have anywhere to put them. Our 4–8pm appointments are the first ones people want, and when we can’t accommodate them, sometimes they go somewhere else. I’ve genuinely worried that being unable to keep up with the demand could eventually hurt the business we worked so hard to build. And it is. Truly. Our busiest months where we NEED to make more to cover the slow months expenses, we can’t because we’re capped out by our salon space itself. It’s been incredibly stressful.

Social media makes it really easy to show the pretty parts of owning a business. The growth, the booked days, the new salon, the 22 years, all the things that make it look like you’ve got your s**t together.

Sometimes I do.

Sometimes I absolutely do not.

I’m a business owner, but I’m also a human being figuring things out as I go. I get things wrong. I learn. I fix what I can. I change what isn’t working and I keep going.
