Skin Health is both clinical and deeply personal.

As a nurse and esthetician, I approach skin from both perspectives. But my understanding didn’t come from training alone.

I’ve personally navigated:

~rashes that no doctor could ever explain.
~hyperpigmentation
~uneven skin tone.
~chronic dandruff

And like many patients, there was a time when solutions felt inconsistent and unclear.

What changed was not just what I used- but what I understood.

That experience continued to shape how I approach skin health today .

My name is Katina Gilmore , a Registered Nurse and Licensed Esthetician .

I am the Afro-ethnic Ally-Aging ™️ skincare specialist. I provide virtual skincare consultations and advanced skincare education & training to licensed professionals. My methods are backed by science and rooted in Africa where graceful aging is honored , not diminished.

My nursing background includes study and practice in dermatology , wound care, and nutrition. I am influenced by ancient plant-based healing and beauty customs across the African diaspora. I’m dedicated to advancing skincare knowledge about Afro-ethnic and “eumelanin” -rich skin.

Hey my barber and cosmetology friends. We have to know when to refer to a medical professional. This is one of those times. Noting the lumps , missing hair patches and multigemini hair ( multiple hairs coming from one follicle) this person has an infection under the skin . This looks like a developing “ dissecting cellulitis” . The client needs antibiotics and possible lancing of the cysts, not a lemon juice and baking powder.
