Hi, I’m Abi. 🌞🌙

With so much changing around here, it feels like a good time to reintroduce myself—not just as the person behind Root & Ritual, but as me.

I’m a wife and mom first. I’m creative to my core, a little bit witchy, a lifelong piano player, a former pastry girl, a licensed esthetician, a Reiki practitioner, and now, after one hell of a year, a massage therapist who can officially say I passed the MBLEx. 🥹

I’ve taken a somewhat winding road to get here.

For a long time, I had a lot of things I loved but couldn’t quite figure out how they were supposed to fit together. Beauty and skincare. Creating things with my hands. Anatomy and the human body. Energy work. Making spaces feel warm and beautiful. Taking care of people.

Massage school changed that.

It taught me anatomy, technique and how much there will always be left to learn—but it also taught me a lot about myself. I learned to trust my hands. Trust my intuition. Trust that the way I care for people has a place here.

And somewhere in that process, Root & Ritual stopped feeling like just a business idea and started feeling like the beginning of something much bigger.

I want the people who come into my space to feel like they can exhale. I want you to feel listened to. Safe. Comfortable. Never rushed. I want science and intuition to be able to exist in the same room. I want care to feel personal again.

And, because I am me, I also want cozy blankets, good smells, pretty things, snacks, crystals and probably way too many little details I spent entirely too much time thinking about. 😂

There’s a new chapter coming for Root & Ritual, and soon I’ll finally get to share what—and who—has become part of that story.

But before I introduce what’s next, I wanted to reintroduce the person who started it.

We are back to closed books until my license is active! If you already have an appointment booked, you’re within the legal dates and we’re still set!

I am beyond proud to announce that I passed the MBLEx today! Every ounce of hard work and determination and the all of the tears and hugs and moments of struggle. It’s all paid off!
