Parents.
I want to talk to you about something.
Will you listen for a moment?

I am not a parent. Not yet.
But I was a teenager once, like you were.

Even with clear rules, open communication, loving parents, and a great school, I still found ways to experiment. My friends did too.

You might think, “My kid isn’t like that.” Maybe they are not. But it only takes one time.
To get pregnant.
To contract an STI.
To overdose.

Here is the truth.
Teen overdose deaths have tripled since 2019, mostly because of fentanyl-laced pills and powders. In 2022, more than 1,800 teens died of overdoses, and most of them did not know they were taking opioids.

This is where Harm Reduction comes in.

Your child deserves protection, knowledge, and support.
They deserve:
• Narcan (Naloxone), and for you to know how to use it.
• Fentanyl test strips to check unknown substances.
• Condoms and the Morning After Pill, without shame.
• The Good Samaritan Law, which protects them if they call 911 during an overdose.

Abstinence is not enough.
Prayer is not protection.
Only Narcan saves a life in those moments.

If you love your family, support your local harm reduction organizations.
Learn, talk, and listen.

Even good kids make risky choices.
They deserve to live long enough to learn from them.

Measles Update:

There is a measles outbreak in central Ohio with four confirmed cases in an unvaccinated family who traveled internationally. If you are not fully protected with two MMR doses, join us for a measles shot clinic. We’re partnering with Franklin County Public Health to offer the vaccine clinic on Saturday, October 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new Albany Early Learning center located at 5101 Swickard Woods Blvd. For questions, call 614-625-3719.
