One of the most underutilized protections in Colorado auto insurance is UM/UIM coverage — Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist coverage.

Colorado requires drivers to carry minimum liability insurance, but many don't — or they carry the bare minimum ($25,000), which often doesn't come close to covering serious injuries.
