Apparently this is what getting older looks like…

When I was younger, if someone had told me I’d get excited about the birds in my backyard, I would’ve laughed. Now I’m out here saying things like, “Look! There is a hummingbird at the feeder!” Or as my husband calls them “hummingtons” - English is his second language! 😂

Somewhere along the way, I started slowing down enough to notice the little things—the colors, the songs, and the beauty that was there all along.

So when I had the chance to create these macarons featuring some of Colorado’s beautiful native birds, it just felt right. They’re colorful, cheerful, and a little reminder to appreciate the simple things.

Take some time today to notice the birds or smell the flowers 🌺
