POV: my clients are getting younger and younger these days… 😅

(just kidding…he insisted helping mom with some behind the scenes stuff at the office today!)

But this does open the door to a conversation I’m having more often lately: preventative botox.

Here’s my honest take:

Wrinkles don’t appear overnight…they develop from repeated muscle movement over time. The idea behind starting earlier is to lessen those repetitive movement patterns before they become deeply set.

✔️ May help delay deeper static lines
✔️ Can reduce repetitive muscle movement that contributes to wrinkles
✔️ Focuses on maintaining a natural, rested look instead of “fixing” it later

That said…it’s not one-size-fits-all. Some people truly don’t need it yet, and aesthetic treatments should never be fear-based or rushed. And as always, if it isn’t appropriate, I won’t treat it!

This morning, I was updating my résumé for an upcoming clinical next year and caught myself staring at one line longer than expected…my cumulative graduate GPA. It’s higher than my undergrad.

That stopped me.

Because 20 years ago, I graduated magna cm laude. I made Dean’s List every semester. I was inducted into national honor societies. I worked really hard and was so proud of that version of me, as I should have been. But this version? This version is building a business, raising a family, and navigating a life that is louder, fuller, and far more demanding than anything I knew back then. Learning not just new material, but how to be a student again after nearly two decades away.

And still… performing at a higher level.

It hasn’t been graceful. I’ve had to say no, miss plans, lose routines, and had moments where I’ve questioned all of it…if it’s worth it, if I’m pushing too hard, if I’m a little insane for choosing this path. I’ve told myself “I can’t do this” more times than I can count, but I’ve told myself “I can” one more time than that. And that matters.

Because when I step back and look at the reality, the numbers don’t lie: with more on my plate, higher expectations, a packed schedule, and a steep learning curve in every sense…I didn’t just keep up, I did better. Not because it was easy or the timing was perfect, but because I refused to accept that it was “too much.”

Please don’t think this is about “bragging.” It’s about pausing long enough to recognize personal growth and what it took to get there. My hope is that someone who is reading this and going through something similar feels inspired. Sometimes the things that feel the most impossible are exactly what move you forward the most.

One year down. Head down. Tunnel vision. Goal still in sight.

And to my clients, friends, family, and everyone who’s supported me, thank you. I wouldn’t be here doing it without you.🤍
