Hi Everyone~

A very happy Summer Solstice to each of you AND a Happy (belated) Father's Day to all of you RAD DAD's out there, doing the work of showing up, teaching, supporting, and nurturing those you love in your lives. May each of you continue to rise up and be the male role models with harmonious steadiness and integrity that this world so desperately needs. I'm grateful to have a few GOATS in my life to celebrate this father's day, and know that I see you holding that rank in your family's eyes, as well. (Greatest of All Time, for those of you who need a translation.)

With that said, celebrating connection can be difficult when those we love have departed this world, or if relationships are strained and have caused deep wounds in our hearts. I want to acknowledge that depth and create space for those parts to be welcome in our time in working together. Our human experience has so many layers and complexities, and through trust, safety, and holding a holistic truthful lens with ourselves, we open to a deeper sense of healing and wellness in our lives.

MASSAGE, MEDITATION, MINDFULNESS and MOVEMENT can be a ticket to FREEDOM within our human experience. I'm grateful to be able to offer you services and practices to assist you on your path. Be it massage, yoga, or a combination with a custom somatic session, I'm here to help you.

NEWS AND SCHEDULE

I took a little time off for the first week of Summer break to unwind and ease into the season with my family and also to take a little pause after a busy Spring with studies (PSOAS included!) and life. Can you believe this gorgeous weather? I feel like I hit the jackpot last week for R&R time. The beargrass in the header was from Holbrook last week. Mind-blowingly beautiful!!

I'm back to work this week with openings still available. I'd love to see you to help you feel, move and groove as your best self this summer.

Please note, after some overdue research, my rates will be increasing July 1st to adjust for cost of business and living, inflation, and current market rates for level of service. Discounted Package Rates for 3+ sessions will be available still, too, as well as sliding-scale for those who need it.

New Rates as of July 1, 2026:
$125/hour
$175/90 min

It truly is an honor and a privilege to be a part of your healing and wellness care team. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Love,
Jen

Hi Everyone~

I have returned and am back in the office after a combined 3 weeks hiatus for Spring Break and care giving for Mom after knee surgery. She's doing great! After 9 days, she already had 91 degrees of bend, and by the time I left, she was managing her meds on her own, with help of Dad, able to get in and out of the car, and reset her Nice machine wrap on her own. Even so, it's going to be a slow road of healing, as many of you know from your own surgeries. I'm so grateful I was able to take the necessary time off to go help her through the first 2 weeks.

The picture in the header is of the beach from Hammonassett Beach State Park, the largest State Park in Connecticut, where I spent time recharging for some nature time. On the Long Island Sound, with lots of seashells, it made for a lovely mini day trip to walk, rest, and meditate, only 15 minute drive from where my folks live.

NEWS AND SCHEDULE

My schedule is open and ready for you! I feel rested after the pause and look forward to reconnecting with you. As always, please reach out if you have trouble finding a time that works for your schedule, so we can find a time to accommodate your needs.

While I was gone, I completed the 8 week University of Vermont Certificate Program training for End of Life Doula. The skills learned and practiced through the deep dive curriculum will be of service in every day life, as well as however I am called to serve in the realm of death awareness, education, preparation and support. I anticipate collaborating with other local doulas and organizations, and opening to the organic evolution of this offering.

The latest research shows how effective mindfulness practices, meditation and intentional movement can be for mental health and holistic wellbeing. I can help you design practices that you can gently weave into your daily lives to tend to yourself.

I'm very aware of how much grief and stress people are carrying with them. I am available to help, through one on one sessions for Mindful Grieving, with meditation and movement, combined with a massage session. Also, stay tuned for group sessions to practice together. Wednesdays and Thursdays are the days that I have available for the 1:1 sessions. If this interests you, please contact me directly, so we can make a plan and set some intentions.

MOTHER'S DAY IS COMING!

Remember, Mom's love receiving Massage Gift Certificates for her special day. You can purchase her gift online on my website. Current rates remain $110/hour, $150/ 90 min.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

With Love,
Jen

Hi Everyone~

I hope each of you are doing well this drippy Saturday afternoon. I've got some broth brewing, to be ready to use in one of my favorite soups, loaded Minestrone. YUM. I'll include a recipe below!

SCHEDULE for MARCH and Early APRIL

Two weeks of school remains until Spring Break, the week of March 23rd-27th. I may be around that week for a few appointments, but will be prioritizing being available for my family and spontaneous adventures.

I will also be gone March 31st-April 14th to help my Mother recover from the first few weeks post knee surgery. So, now is your chance to get yourself scheduled before I peel out for awhile. I have lots of openings the next few weeks. If those times don't work for you, please reach out and let me know, and I'll see where we can adjust to accommodate you.

NEWS TO SHARE

Building upon recent personal experience, and anticipating the inevitable cycle of life, I am 4 weeks into an 8 week Professional Certificate Training with the University of Vermont to be an End of Life/Death Doula. This training has been remarkably applicable to LIFE, and enriching in the ways presence, listening, and showing up in our lives more fully for those around us. It's been consuming, challenging, deep and worth every part of my investment.

As I'm at the halfway mark, I'll continue to be integrating and feeling into the path as it unfolds with these refined skills for my toolbox. One thing that I do know, is that there is so much value in reflecting on our life, intentions, goals, dreams, while we are vibrant; just as important as leaning into support and companionship when our time or of those we love approaches closure. It's heartful work, for each personally, and collectively, as this movement honors each individual and family holistically in their highest good during vulnerable and tender times.

If you're interested in learning more, please contact me and we can schedule some time to talk. I'll be finished on Easter, and will be available to discuss, answer questions mid April after I return from Connecticut.

NOW FOR SOME SOUP for the SOUL...

HOMEMADE CHICKEN BROTH--the quick way and the slow way

1 onion, quartered, skin on
1 leek, chopped into chunks
2 carrots
1 celery
3-5 cloves garlic
15 or so whole peppercorns
1 bay leaf
1 chicken, bones, with meat stripped off separate for eating
some thyme, parsley, a couple of slices of lemon
optional-seaweed (I love adding seaweed to my stocks. I buy from the seaweedman.com, who wild-harvests from the Atlantic Ocean, just north of Acadia National Park in Maine.) If you are interested in some, let me know. I buy in bulk.

Put everything in vessel of your choice. Slow cook on the stove in a large stock pot or in a slow cooker. I like to use my pressure cooker, which accelerates cooking time. Simmer slow for several hours, or in pressure cooker, for as little as 30 min or as long as you have time to wait.

Strain and funnel into glass jars to use however you like.

JEN'S LOADED MINESTRONE SOUP

1 leek, white part, sliced
1 small fennel bulb, sliced
1 small onion, finely diced
3+ garlic cloves, minced
2 -3 carrots, diced
2-3 celery, diced
1 bay leaf
For meat if desired,
1 pound ground pork, or sweet Italian sausages (I like the Chopp Shoppe's) sliced
1 can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1 28 oz can fire roasted crushed tomatoes
4 cups chicken bone broth (or beef broth or veggie broth), more as needed
2 cups plus as desired chopped green cabbage
1 puck freezer pesto (I may and freeze in cupcake tins in summer!), or chopped fresh basil, or dried, to taste
salt and pepper
chopped parsley
parmesan

Sauté ground pork, if using, in olive oil until browned. Then add leek, onion, fennel, garlic and let those get softened, about 5-8 minutes. Add carrots and celery, sauteing for about 5 min. Next, add toms, broth and let things simmer for awhile, then add beans, cabbage, pesto and let cook some more. I usually accelerate this process after the initial sauté of veggies, adding the rest to the pressure cooker and letting it go for 15-20 min or so, with cabbage (or kale, spinach towards the end, after pressure, as I like that to have some crunch) Add salt and pepper to taste, and serve with fresh parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil and dark balsamic vinegar, and fresh crusty sourdough bread. Tastes even better on Day 2. I kind of eyeball my recipes rather than clear measurements, so if you have questions, let me know. Enjoy!

I look forward to seeing each of you soon.

With Love,
Jen

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick note to let you know that my schedule for next week is now available for online booking. I'll be in the office in the afternoons, 2 pm-5 or 6 pm, depending on the day, and Saturday morning until 1 or 2 pm..

I have witnessed some beautiful shifts in people this week, arriving with elevated nervous systems, extreme stress, and also general fatigue from life, then floating away in alignment with themselves and in deep relaxation.

Creating space in your life to pause and receive bodywork has wonderful benefits in helping the body to downshift, rebalance energy, and reconnect holistically, for your mind, body and spirit. It's not just about the muscles, it's a whole system reboot. When we are in balance and grounded within ourselves, we are in an optimal state in which to navigate the challenges of our lives.

I'm here for you! Schedule here:

See you soon~
