One simple habit I use to help fresh produce last longer: I skip disposable produce bags at the store and transfer my fruits and vegetables into reusable green produce bags when I get home.

The goal: more time to use what I buy and less produce ending up in the trash. 💚

🥗 Niki’s Healthy Meal-Prep Hack for the Week

At Cafe Maurice, I get a double order of hummus shawarma with chicken. It’s a HUGE amount of food for the money!

I always keep a glass container in my car so I have one with me whenever I’m picking up warm food. For health reasons, I prefer putting warm food into glass rather than Styrofoam.

Then I stop at Whole Foods for baked chicken scallopini.

Back home, I chop the chicken into bite-size pieces and mix it right into the hummus shawarma. It adds even more protein and stretches the meal beautifully.

Now I have a high-protein meal that is delicious and will last me for several days.

Healthy meal prep does not have to be complicated. It can be DELICIOUS, NUTRITIOUS, and WHOLESOME. 💚🥗🍗
