Evergreen Skin Studio
20+ years in the treatment room. Holistic skin strategies. Expert brows. Coaching aestheticians to build aligned, thriving businesses-inside and out.
I first decided to become an aesthetician for one reason:
I had bad skin. That was in 2005…
I struggled with acne, hyperpigmentation, redness and very reactive skin. I learned along the way that there is a whole lot more to having healthy skin than just buying the right moisturizer or serum. Once I started taking care of my skin from the inside as well as the outside, things really started to change for the better. The best part, is the results are sustainable, they don’t go away! I studied over 100 different dietary theories at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013 to become an IIN® Health Coach and in 2020 became a Certified Nutritional Aesthetics® Provider to further incorporate holistic elements into my aesthetic practice. I enjoy educating clients on all things skin and I’ve since added blogging about clean beauty and skincare as part of my professional offerings. In my down time you’ll find me hanging out with my family and dogs, watching movies, doing crafty stuff, reading, cooking and gardening!

Summer is wonderful…
but it often leaves behind a few reminders:
• uneven pigmentation
• rough texture
• dullness
• dehydration
That’s why fall is one of my favorite times for professional skin treatments.
It’s the perfect season to gently refresh your skin and encourage healthy renewal before the holidays arrive.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing two of my favorite fall treatments that help restore your skin’s glow—without harsh recovery.

Is anyone else feeling a little protein pressure lately?
Especially after 50, we’re hearing that we need more protein for muscle, metabolism, healthy aging…and yes, our skin benefits from adequate protein too.
But it doesn’t have to become another number to obsess over.
Instead of asking, “Did I hit my protein goal today?” try asking, “Where could I add a little more protein to what I’m already eating?”
Greek yogurt at breakfast. Beans on a salad. A handful of nuts with your snack. Fish, chicken, eggs, lentils or tofu with a meal.
Small choices add up.
Your skin doesn’t need a perfect diet. It needs consistent nourishment over time.

Relaxation isn’t just a nice part of a facial, it can be part of supporting healthier skin. 🌿
Chronic stress keeps the body in a heightened state of alert, increasing stress hormones and inflammatory signaling that can show up in the skin as increased sensitivity, redness, breakouts, slower healing and a compromised barrier.
Creating space for the nervous system to settle is one reason I pay attention to the whole treatment environment: the music, warmth, touch, breathing room and unhurried pace of your facial.
When your body begins to shift out of “fight or flight” and into a more restful state, we’re supporting more than relaxation. We’re supporting the conditions your skin needs to function at its best.
So yes, the playlist matters. 🤍
Healthy skin is about more than what we put on it. Sometimes caring for your skin also means caring for your nervous system.

My herbal facial compress is one of the details I’ve been incorporating into the Evergreen Luxe Facial as I continue to refine and enhance the experience.
Infused with green tea and chamomile, the warm compress brings together two botanicals I love for the skin. Green tea is rich in antioxidants and helps calm the look of inflammation and redness, while chamomile is known for its soothing, comforting properties—especially welcome when skin is feeling stressed or reactive.
But there’s another reason I love this step: it feels wonderful.
The warmth, gentle pressure and herbal aroma create a moment of deep relaxation while giving the skin a little extra care.
Because Luxe isn’t just about doing more to the skin. It’s about choosing thoughtful enhancements that support both healthy skin and a restorative experience. 🌿

Protein gets talked about a lot for muscle and healthy aging, but your skin needs it too.
The protein we eat is broken down into amino acids that the body uses as building materials. Those amino acids play a role in collagen and elastin production, tissue repair and many of the processes that help keep skin functioning well.
That doesn’t mean more protein automatically equals more collagen or younger-looking skin. But getting adequate protein gives your body some of the raw materials it needs to support healthy skin.
Good skin nutrition isn’t about one “magic” food or nutrient. It’s about consistently giving your body what it needs to do its job.
That’s my job.
Your skin can change with the seasons, stress, hormones, lifestyle and more—which is why your facial shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all.
Come in, get comfortable, and let me take it from there. Your Evergreen Facial will be customized to what your skin needs that day.

Fall is a natural time to reset and your skincare routine is a great place to start. 🍂
It’s easy to get distracted by the newest ingredient, treatment, or trend, but healthy skin is built on what you do consistently, day after day.
A gentle cleanse.
A moisturizer that supports your skin barrier.
Daily SPF.
And a few well-chosen products that address your skin’s needs.
The basics may not be the most exciting part of skincare, but over months and years, those everyday habits are what make the biggest difference.
This fall, instead of adding more, consider getting really consistent with what matters most. 🤎
