Helping working people feel their best. Helping injured souls cope with pain. Helping people reduce their pain medication use.
Through out the years I've noticed that I had been drawn to massage. I believe that it was the bond of touch and the physical connection that appealed to me. Massage had been a possible career choice in the back of my mind for many years. I am now certified as a licensed massage therapist and through schooling at Four-D College, in Victorville California, I've learned that there are many more bene
fits to the human body than just the physical connection of touch. Positive touch alone is very important to our well being. Touch is an important element for healthy growth and development. According to the Touch Research Institute positive touch reduces stress while increasing serotonin and dopamine. These neurotransmiters help those that suffer from depression. A one hour massage a week has been proven to reduce cortisol in the blood stream. Cortisol is the hormone that is released while under stress. Tension and anxiety is reduced as the nervous system is calmed. Fatigue is relieved as a sense of restored energy is brought to you. Pain reducing neurochemicals are released through massage that allow you to manage pain better. This alone has the possibility of reducing the amount of pain medication used normally. Massage has many benefits:
- Reduce Headaches
- Increase Circulation
- Eliminate Toxins
- Improved Athletic Performance
- Reduces Workout Downtime
- Improved Flexibility
- Improved Mobility
- Reduces Swelling and Inflammation
- Relaxation
- Reduces Stress and Anxiety
- Helps with Depression
- Assists with Pain Management
- Helps Relieve Side Effects of Chemotherapy
Massage isn't a luxury. It's a way to a happier, healthier life.
