To everyone who came out to the 21st Annual Celebrity Basketball Game — thank you.

Last night wasn’t just a game. It was a full circle moment I still don’t have all the words for.

I grew up right here in Wilmington, and there was a time when a night like this — the lights, the energy, the community wrapped around our young people — was just a dream I held onto. To stand at Chase Fieldhouse and watch the joy on our youth’s faces, the same joy I carried as a kid dreaming of something more, was something I’ll carry with me forever.

To every family, friend, volunteer, sponsor, and celebrity guest who showed up — you didn’t just attend an event. You poured into a legacy. You reminded our young people that they are seen, they are loved, and they have people in their corner believing in their future.

It’s More Than a Game. It’s proof of what’s possible when a community decides to show up for its youth.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you. This one’s for you.
