If you're a veteran in Dover dealing with hair loss, scalp micropigmentation is something I know from both sides of the chair.
I joined the Navy right out of high school. Years later, working a desk job, my hair started going and it got to me more than I let on. I looked at transplants. I ended up getting SMP myself, three sessions, and it changed how I felt walking into a room.
That's why I got certified and trained with some of the best SMP artists in the world. Now I do it for other people.
SMP doesn't grow hair and it's not a transplant. I place tiny pigment dots in the scalp that look like closely shaved hair follicles. You get a clean buzz cut look with a hairline built for your face and your age. It fits a squared away look, and the upkeep is simple.
I have clients who drive in from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland, so the trip up from Dover is an easy one. You're used to straight answers, so that's what you'll get from me.
We've done over 2,500 SMP sessions and worked with over 600 clients. We use organic pigment. The studio is in Heritage Plaza on Annand Drive in Wilmington.
Consults are free. Come talk to a fellow vet. I'll look at your scalp, tell you straight if SMP makes sense for you, and give you a price before anything happens. Book a free consult and let's get you squared away.

If you're in Hockessin and thinking about scalp micropigmentation, the first question I usually get is what healing and aftercare actually look like. Here's the honest version.
Most people need three sessions. Each one is spaced about 7 to 14 days apart. The first session builds the base and the hairline. You'll see a difference that day. The second adds density and texture. The third fine tunes the details.
Building it up over a few visits instead of all at once is on purpose. It lets me check how your skin holds the pigment and adjust the shade and density before we finish. Everyone heals a little differently, and I'll walk you through what's normal at each step.
Aftercare isn't complicated. I give you written instructions and the materials you need after your sessions, and I walk you through what to do and what to skip while you heal. Follow them and your results hold up better.
Once you're done, most people don't need a touch up for 2 to 5 years. No daily products. No fibers. No hats.
We've done over 2,500 SMP sessions and worked with over 600 clients. We use organic pigment. The studio is in Heritage Plaza on Annand Drive in Wilmington, close to Hockessin.
Consults are free. Come in, ask me every question you've got about healing and aftercare, and get a price before anything happens. Book a free consult and see if it fits your schedule.

If you're in Middletown and tired of waiting on finasteride and minoxidil to work, scalp micropigmentation might be the option you haven't looked at yet.
There's a lot of buzz about new hair loss drugs coming. Some are in late trials. None of them are on the shelf yet, and nobody knows for sure when they will be. Meanwhile a lot of guys are on finasteride or minoxidil, checking the mirror every morning, and still seeing scalp.
I'm not a doctor and I'm not telling anyone to stop their meds. That's between you and yours.
Here's the difference. Meds try to keep or grow hair. SMP doesn't grow anything. I place tiny pigment dots in the scalp that look like closely shaved hair follicles. The look shows up right after the first session. Most people need three sessions, and touch ups are usually every 2 to 5 years.
So it doesn't have to be one or the other. You can stay on your meds and add SMP for density. Or if you're done chasing, you can go with a clean buzz cut look with a hairline that fits your face.
We've done over 2,500 SMP sessions with over 600 clients, and we use organic pigment. The studio is in Heritage Plaza on Annand Drive in Wilmington, a short drive up from Middletown.
Consults are free. I'll look at your scalp, ask what you've tried, and tell you straight what SMP can and can't do for you. Book a free consult and stop guessing.

If you're dealing with alopecia in Philadelphia, scalp micropigmentation for alopecia is worth knowing about before you decide anything.
Alopecia gets a lot of attention right now because of the newer pills. They work for some people and not for others. That's a conversation for your dermatologist, not me. I'm not a doctor.
What I can talk about is the cosmetic side. SMP does not treat alopecia and it does not grow hair. What it does is place tiny pigment dots in the scalp that look like closely shaved hair follicles. That cuts down the contrast between the bare spots and the rest of your scalp. For a lot of people, that contrast is the part they hate the most.
It works best when your hair loss has been stable for a while, or when you've decided to keep your head shaved anyway. If your patches are still changing a lot, I'll tell you that at the consult and we can wait.
We've done over 2,500 SMP sessions and worked with over 600 clients. We use organic pigment. The studio is in Heritage Plaza on Annand Drive in Wilmington, and people come in from Philly and all over Pennsylvania.
Consults are free. I'll look at your scalp, ask how your alopecia has behaved over time, and tell you straight if SMP makes sense for you right now. You'll get a price before anything happens. Book a free consult and we'll figure it out together.

If you’re struggling with hair loss, do your research and find the option that makes the most sense for you.
What’s your #1?
FUT hair transplant scar camouflage by Joey Dots at Delaware Scalp Micropigmentation.
This client previously had both an FUT hair transplant and an FUE hair transplant. For now, the goal was to focus specifically on camouflaging the linear FUT scar. In the future, we may also camouflage the remaining FUE scarring.
This is the result after just 2 SMP sessions. The FUT scar is now dramatically less noticeable and blends much more naturally with the surrounding hair.
If you or someone you know has FUT scars, FUE scars, or other visible scarring on the scalp, Delaware SMP may be able to help.

💥 HAIR TRANSPLANT BUT STILL LOOKING THIN?
This client previously had an FUE hair transplant. He got the hairline, but the top of his scalp was still lacking density.
This has become something we see all the time in the hair transplant community. They can give you a hairline, but one transplant often can’t provide enough density across the entire top of the scalp.
To achieve the density many people actually want, it can take 3–5 hair transplant procedures, depending on the amount of hair loss and available donor hair.
OR… there’s another option. 👇
Get the hair transplant to rebuild your hairline, then use Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) density fill between the existing hairs to reduce visible scalp and make the hair look thicker, fuller and more dense.
HAIR TRANSPLANT + SMP DENSITY FILL = 🔥
Already had a hair transplant and still look thin? Or is your natural hair thinning on top?
