One year ago, I took the biggest leap of faith and signed the lease to my salon suite. 🥹
To be honest, I was TERRIFIED. There were so many “what ifs,” so much overthinking, and so many moments where I questioned if I was making the right decision. If it wasn’t for my family and friends constantly reminding me to believe in myself, I don’t know if I would’ve ever done it.
Fast forward one year later… we made it. 🥹💕
My first year of being my own boss has taught me more than I ever imagined. There were highs, lows, happy tears, stressful days, and so many moments that reminded me why I fell in love with doing hair.
To every client who’s sat in my chair, trusted me with your hair, recommended me, shared my posts, or simply supported my dream… thank you. Seriously. You guys are the reason Hair by Esmeralda gets to celebrate one whole year. I’ll never take your trust or support for granted.

I haven’t done a smoky ash color in a very long time 🩶
She was previously lighter from her last appointment, and we lightened her a bit more to achieve this ashy tone. These colors bring me nostalgic vibes🤩

Miss girl wanted to be blonde, so I got her there in the safest way possible 💗 Blonde transformations are definitely not for the weak because it takes HOURS, patience, multiple careful steps, and protecting the integrity of the hair the entire time 👏🏼
Anyone can make hair lighter… but keeping it healthy while going blonde? That’s the real challenge🤏🏼
