Culpepper’s Cardiac Foundation with Melanie’s Cutting Edge donated #98 AED last evening to The U Salon LLC !!!
This was Sponsored as a “Pay It Forward “ by Dr. Tonya Bolton with Emergency Fix.

Dr. Tonya Bolton graduated medical school in 2011 and then was in the U.S. Navy until 2019. She went to residency for Emergency medicine in Atlanta through Emory University, graduating from residency in 2019. Since then she has worked in Emergency medicine as a board certified Emergency medicine physician, working at Winter Haven Hospital, Bartow Medical Center, Tampa General Medical Center and most recently becoming the medical Director of Advent Lake Wales (January 2026).

I started Emergency Fix in 2022 as a way to reconnect with my community after all of my time studying and traveling for work. I currently work alongside Brook Manning to offer the services of Botox, fillers, bio, stimulators, as well as energy based devices for tattoo removal, laser hair, removal, skin resurfacing, and tightening therapies.

I personally met Tonya back in 2023 when my kids wanted to help me feel better after losing Culpepper and me going into an arm injury , bought me a gift certificate to go see Tonya to get my lips done .
From the moment I met her, she made me feel comfortable and she talked with me about not just what I wanted done at the time of the service, but she talked with me personally as she had heard a bit little of my story.
I instantly felt comfortable with her and throughout the years we have become good friends as we have so much in common, including our love for Dolly Parton..
A couple months ago, Tonya reached out and said that she would like to place an AED as a Pay It Forward as part of her charity as she likes to help with charities every year and this year she was choosing to support Culpeppers Cardiac Foundation as she was all about helping the Community know more about Heart Awareness. 
I want to personally tell you Tonya that this meant more to me than you know and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support for CCF .
I always say God crosses paths for a reason and I’m blessed he put you in my life .

Well, last night we were able to make this all happen as we got together with her family, friends and some staff from U Salon as well as her partner with Emergency Fix .

I told my story of how and why I started Culpeppers Cardiac Foundation and then Eric Shimkus , a paramedic with the Winter Haven Fire Department , and who does this all as volunteer ,gave a demonstration on the AED and CPR. We also incorporate a Choking Device and Narcan to carry in case of an overdose . All of these I added to our demonstration in hope to share the importance of saving a life . We incorporate a Fire Extinguisher to have as well , as I wanted to add this in honor of Jolynn. She was a little girl we loved and lost due to a car fire back in Nov of last year, and we want to continue our love for her and her mom , Logan Deines , with For The Love of JoLynn � 🙌❤️.

The CCF Team were able to place an AED here in hope to help Save A Life 🙌. Thank you, everyone, and our Community, so very much, as without our community support, we could not make this all happen . In Honor of Michael Culpepper , my late fiancé , who passed away from heart failure in July of 2020, I started the Foundation and turned my pain into a purpose in hope to help save someone’s life . CCF raises $ by having Events , sponsors & donations. We place at least 2 to 3 AED’s a month in our community, as well as we give out three $1,000 scholarships . One is for Fire , one for Medical & one for EMT, as we have the utmost respect for all of our first responders.
