I don’t think I have ever been more proud of a hair photo. ✨💫✨

Hair photography is such a fine tuned skill that a lot of people don’t take the time to understand. Is hair photography the most important part of my business? Absolutely not. My clients happiness is. But it is an art form that I’ve become so incredibly passionate about.

I didn’t realize until late that it’s something I’ve always been passionate about. It’s always been there underneath the surface.. just changed forms. When I was younger I wanted to be a makeup artist. I would spend hours doing the makeup on myself, creating an entire theme, taking 100 photos, editing , etc. The lighting, the angles, the smallest details. People probably assumed I was vain but that was not it at all. It was capturing that artistry perfectly. The process of it all. It was the rush knowing exactly when I nailed that shot.

I don’t want to become a photographer. Hair color is my one true passion. I just like making art and capturing it.

I don’t always have time or the ability to set up and take the photos I dream of .. but this shot.. this is it. This shows so many years of that fine tuning. And having the most beautiful clients certainly helps. ✨💫✨

I colored my first ever wig. I wanted to start a project of recreating looks inspired by my house plants. My Manjula Pothos is one of my favorite girls in my house. Her leaves are literally painted with watercolor by Mother Nature. I recreated those colors using Danger Jones Creative of course. This will be the start of many fun things I have planned coming up. I kept this one a little more simple so I could dip my toes. It has been a learning curve but I can’t wait to get better at creating these looks and photos. The photography has really become a weird new passion of mine. It’s so funny how much I was in front of the camera in my 20’s modeling and now I’m even happier behind it. Thank you to my beautiful coworker and friend Anah Krinke for letting me use her beautiful face. She’s literally perfect. Thank you to Cassidy Harris for helping us. Also our salon and Shelly Clow for always supporting me through my crazy ideas. It means the world to me and this was so fun. 💚
