There’s something beautiful about hair that moves the way it wants to — and I’ve built my entire practice around that idea. I specialize in curly and wavy hair.
I’m Lindsey, founder of The Wayward Curl Hair Studio in Worcester, MA.
I started out just wanting to show you the different outcomes when you air dry vs. diffuse. I ended up on a whole side quest 🫠.
We will talk about the things I wasn’t expecting in another post. For now what I want to show you is this.
Diffusing = faster dry time, more volume, sometimes slightly less definition, typically a bit more shrinkage
Air drying = slightly looser more elongated curls, there can be slightly more definition IF (and this is important) the curls aren’t disrupted or touched in ANY way while it dries. Easier for a mannequin than in real life.

Living her best low maintenance life. She had gone from a high maintenance blonde with dry unhappy curls to this beautiful, soft, shiny, dimensional blonde waves over this past year. 🥰
