It's finally time to share what I've been working on, Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP). If you've been following along, you know I never stop learning. So... what is Scalp Micropigmentation?

SMP is a specialized cosmetic tattoo that creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles to help restore the look of fuller hair. It's for both MEN and WOMEN and it can be life changing for people experiencing hair loss or scalp concerns.

SMP may be a great option for:
• Thinning hair
• Male or female pattern hair loss
• Receding hairlines
• Alopecia
• Hair transplant scars
• Surgical scars on the scalp
• Areas where hair no longer grows due to injury or scarring
• Creating the look of added density in thinning areas

🚨 It's time for another round of what is Savannah learning now? 🚨

At this point, my husband knows that "I signed up for another class" is never a question, it's a notification I’m learning something new to tattoo.

I've been keeping a little secret because I'm adding another service to Hexe Ink, and I'm pretty excited about this one. This is one I have been asked about a few times now. I'll give a few hints it isn’t brows, eyeliner, lips, ar**las, scar/stretch mark camouflage, or 3D belly buttons.

Confession time... If you grew up in the late 90s/early 2000s, you may be entitled to financial compensation for what we did to our eyebrows.

Mine? Let’s just say I over plucked the s**t out of mine. I fully committed to the skinny brow era. Chola-inspired? Absolutely. Regrets? Also absolutely. The problem was they never came back. After years of hoping they’d magically decide to grow in with all the methods I tried from looking it up on Google, I finally had my brows professionally done last year. Best. Decision. Ever.

This year, I had my eyeliner done too. And because apparently I like to keep life interesting I tattooed my own bottom eyeliner. (Yes, I questioned my life choices but still did it anyway.) Now I wake up with brows and eyeliner every day, and I don’t miss the daily drawing, filling, praying, and hoping they match.

Moral of the story stop trusting your 16-year-old self with tweezers. She had confidence... but not good judgment.

Thank you guys for being so supportive of me. Not only did you volunteer, but the excitement you had throughout the whole process was hilarious. Watching you all crowd around afterward, cracking jokes, admiring the work, and saying how awesome it turned out made the entire experience even better. The humor in this shop is unmatched.

Sometimes life doesn't make sense while you're living it... until one day it does. Today, I'm incredibly humbled and grateful to share that two medical facilities have officially partnered with me and will be referring patients for my paramedical tattoo services.

To some, that may just sound like two partnerships. To me, it's the realization that every decision I've made even the ones that didn't seem connected at the time was preparing me for this moment. There were times I questioned myself.

Why pursue Medical Billing & Coding? Why earn my Bachelor of Science? Why continue and become 92% finished with my Master's degree in Business Management? Why spend years working in healthcare auditing provider claims, learning diagnosis codes, procedure codes, documentation requirements, and the insurance reimbursement process? Why obtain my NPI? Why continue investing in advanced paramedical tattoo training instead of stopping after learning the basics?

At the time, those choices didn't always make sense. They felt like separate paths. Now, I finally see the bigger picture.

My healthcare background gave me an understanding of medical documentation, coding, insurance, and compliance. My experience auditing provider claims taught me what providers and insurance companies look for. My education strengthened my business knowledge and leadership skills. My NPI allows me to assist eligible clients with the documentation they may need when seeking reimbursement for qualifying paramedical tattoo services. And my advanced training allows me to provide specialized restorative tattooing with confidence and care.

When I met with these facilities, they weren't just looking at someone who learned paramedical tattooing and jumped right into it. They were looking at the complete picture my education, healthcare experience, certifications, knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to continuing education. I truly believe those qualifications helped give them the confidence to partner with me and trust me with their patients. This is what sets me apart from other paramedical artists.

That means everything to me. I don't take that trust lightly, and I will continue working hard to earn it every single day. To the two facilities that have welcomed me as a partner thank you. I'm honored to be part of your patients' healing journey.

And to my husband... thank you.

Thank you for believing in me, even when my decisions didn't always make sense. Thank you for supporting every class, every certification, every late night, every crazy idea, every investment, and every dream even when neither of us could fully see where it was leading. There were times when I questioned the path I was on, but you never questioned me. You encouraged me to keep going, to keep learning, and to keep believing in myself. Looking back now, I can finally see how all of those pieces fit together. Thank you for standing beside me while I figured that out. None of this would feel the same without your unwavering support. I love you, and I'm so grateful we get to celebrate these milestones together.

This is only the beginning. I'm excited to continue building relationships with plastic surgeons, breast surgeons, oncologists, dermatologists, and healthcare providers so we can work together to help even more people regain confidence after surgery, trauma, and life changing experiences.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's this: Not every decision will make sense while you're making it. Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep showing up. One day you'll look back and realize every step was building the foundation for something greater.
