The list of routes for LIAT 2020, which resumed operations on Tuesday, did not include St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Currently, the airline is operating the Antigua/St. Lucia route for the next two weeks, with plans to expand soon.

CEO Hafsaf Abdulsalam announced that flights to Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, and St. Kitts & Nevis would also begin on Tuesday.

“In September, we plan to add 11 new destinations and expand into larger Caribbean territories in the south,” Abdulsalam stated, noting that the airline aims to include Guyana, Trinidad, and Tobago in its route expansion.

Additionally, the airline intends to launch a new generation of 128-seat E2 195 narrow-body aircraft by the end of the first year. This expansion, coupled with ECCA’s Cat 1 designation, will allow the airline to increase flights to Panama and potentially to Miami, Puerto Rico, and the British Virgin Islands.

Abdulsalam emphasized that while LIAT 2020 is focused on becoming profitable and sustainable, ticket prices will remain affordable and competitive. To support this goal, the airline is seeking exemptions from foreign governments to benefit travelers.
