Don't forget these crucial lash tips for summer retention.
Summer can be a tough time for lash retention, especially with many of your clients heading off on their vacations.
Feel free to share this post to your pages to help your clients follow the perfect aftercare advice for long lasting holiday lashes.
🕶 Avoid Sunscreen on Lashes: The oils in sunscreen can break down the lash bonds. Protect those lashes by keeping sunscreen away.
🏊♀️ Limit Chlorine Exposure: Chlorine can weaken the bonds of your lash extensions. Try to minimise time in chlorinated pools.
👓 Wear Goggles: When swimming, goggles are your lashes' best friend! They help shield your extensions from water and chemicals.
😎 Sport Sunglasses: Protect your lashes from the sun’s heat by wearing sunglasses. It’s a stylish way to keep your lashes safe!
🧴 Daily Cleansing: Cleanse your lashes daily to remove sweat, oils, and impurities that can compromise retention.
💨 Avoid Hair Dryer Heat: Direct heat from hair dryers can affect the lash bonds. Let your lashes air dry whenever possible.
Keep your lashes looking stunning all summer with these easy tips! 🌞🌴

This is a great post to save and share to help educate your clients on why infills are required.
Most lashes artists offer 2-3 week lash infills, depending on the clients natural lash growth or life style.
Some clients lose lashes quicker than others, some require fills after 2 weeks, some may be able to go 4 weeks.
Usually after 4 weeks a set does require an infill if it is to be maintained, otherwise there is too much work to class it as a fill - you will find many nail technicians run the same policy when it comes to enhancements.
What's the longest amazing retention you have ever seen, where a client came back after weeks looking like they had a full set, drop us a comment.

At Eyelash Excellence, we are experts on understanding lash reactions, why they happen and how they can easily be prevented.
I am setting you a quick task - go now find out now where your lash glue and liquids are made...if from the Far East, then both you and your clients are at serious risk from reactions, maybe not today, tomorrow or next month, but there is only so long your immune system can cope with the expose to non human grade ingredients in your liquids.
This is not scare mongering, this is sadly through personal experience back in 2014, when after only 2 years of lashing, I became super sick from from lash adhesives and liquids and my career was looking like it was over. I didn't want it to end, so set upon my own journey to find out the truth about our products in an unregulated industry and produce my own which would allow me to be able to lash again. Over the past 10 years we have studied this subject in super depth to learn everything that we can and produce some of the safest liquids and adhesives in the lash industry.
Truth -the far east do not set about to try to destroy our health, all they are doing is trying to produce cheap products for the lash industry, and cheap products are what sell.
Producing cosmetic grade products suitable to be used on humans, especially the eye area requires special measures such as the removal of toxins from the ingredients used. This comes at a high cost.
Many big lash suppliers purchase their adhesives and liquids for as little as $1 - you do not need to be a genius to figure out the quality of the ingredients that will be in the product!
We cannot continue to play Russian roulette with our health, especially not for vanity.
Please seek out ethical suppliers who spend a little bit more on their products and reduce their profits to offer you super safe UK or EU made liquids.
Stop lining the pockets of suppliers, especially big ones who are selling you crap and destroying you and your clients health.
Do your research, find out where your products are made and take control of reactions - it doesn't have to be be this way.

DID YOU KNOW: When a natural eyelash sheds, the extension attached to that natural lash falls off with it.
This is why we recommend a lashrefill appointment every two✌🏼weeks. During this appointment, your stylist will assess, replace, refresh AND fluff your lashextensions so they look 💯 again!

Regularly remove makeup
Clogged pores can make it hard for new hair to grow, which is why cleansing your face and lashes every day is essential for keeping your pores and skin clean. This enables lash and brow hairs to remain strong and leaves room for new hairs to grow.

While lash and brow hair loss is often inevitable, simple changes to your routine and mindset can help slow the process and protect your follicles.
Food plays a huge part in the health of your hair follicles.
Eat anti-inflammatory foods. Green tea, garlic, spinach, cherries and olive oil are just some of the many anti-inflammatory foods that can help stimulate hair growth. 🍒 Another food tip: avoiding excess sugar could help prevent high blood sugar levels that can damage hair follicles.

WHAT CAUSES HAIR AND EYELASH LOSS?
There are many reasons your lashes and brows may be thinning or falling out. In fact, most people will experience some form of hair loss in their lifetime. Age, stress, medication, hormonal changes (like pregnancy 🤰🏽 and menopause), chemotherapy and diet are just a sample of the factors that may impact your hair growth. Even the seasons can impact your lash and brow growth!

Lash extensions alone will not ruin your lashes. Damage to the natural lashes is the result of improper application, or the stylist not selecting the correct type of lash for an existing natural lash.
There are a few main factors that contribute to this problem: Applying extensions that are too heavy for the natural lash will result in premature shedding. Rubbing your eyes will also result in immediate breakage.
That’s why visiting a properly certified lash artist is crucial when it comes to lash extensions.

1. Remove all eye-makeup using an oil and glycol-free makeup remover. If taking off eyeliner, use a cotton tip dipped in remover and wipe it across your lid, or away from the lid. Never towards the extensions. Don’t use cotton balls as you’ll get into a furry mess, as they will catch on the bases of the extensions.
2. If you are wearing heavy foundation, remove this too before washing eyes, using your cleanser of choice but AVOIDING the eye area. Some cleansers contain oil, particularly cream cleansers and ‘cleansing oils’
3. Wet your eyes with cool water. Take a very, very small amount of a lash shampoo and lather it up on your palm. Apply this to both eyes, one at a time, splashing it over them. Don’t rub them like you’re washing hair though; just gently splash it over your closed eyes. If your eyes still feel grubby, repeat.
4. Rinse it off and dab them gently dry. It doesn’t matter if they are a little damp, stuck together with water etc., when you brush them they will re-separate.
5. Use your lash wand to very gently twirl through them and fan them back out.
6. Do this 2-3 times per week.
