We were approached by someone, offering us land in Stellenbosch, to start a second much needed rehabilitation centre for Birds of Prey and Blue Cranes.

With the lack of centres (us being the only, from Cape Town right up the West Coast, including the Boland and Swartland, we thought it a great idea.

We don't see anyone standing in line to fill this gap, quite understandably, because it is hard work and it is not a money making initiative.

Every part of me says yes. It will not only cut down on rescue reaction time, but travelling costs too. It will also be a soft release centre for Birds from the Cape Metropolitan area.

The sad part is that, if we already struggle to keep one centre's doors open how on earth will we cope with two.

Our idea would be to build another and employ an experienced couple full time to manage such a centre, overlooked by us.

If only we had the funds, imagine the wonders that we can achieve.

I am putting this out to the world....
This initiative will sort so many issues surrounding our Birds of Prey, logistics and upkeeping of the numbers in the wild.

The only way that this can work is to find dedicated and passionate partners, wanting to make a difference and who is willing to walk this path with us, for the sake of our environment.

We will put in the time, effort, experience and running of such a centre, but I need the confirmation that funding will not be an issue, before I take the next step.

This centre, same as our current centre, will be a rehabilitation centre only and not open to the public, due to Cape Nature regulations.

Our current centre is critically centred, covering vast areas north of Cape Town and it plays a crucial role in saving lives out in the sticks. This is the reason that we are fighting tooth and nail to keep doing what we do best.

Currently Cape Town does not have a registered and permitted centre, making it difficult for us to get to all rescues over distance.
Koggelberg rehabilitation centre, more to the south coast, also help with rescues from Cape Town.
But Cape Town needs a centre.

If you are a company, institution, investor or a private person, willing to come on board and be the Heroes of the answer to a crisis facing our Birds of Prey and Blue Cranes, please rise up and take our hand.

Our passion for these creatures got us this far, your support can open the skies and be the answer to a major issue facing our Birds of Prey.

Currently we receive many calls for rescues from the Cape and we do our best to save them from a distance. A Rehabilitation Center In Stellenbosch is the answer to saving many more lives.

Please share this post wide and far. We need to find those partners and supporters and they need to find us.
If we can pull this off together, then we will have the biggest marketing campaign ever to promote such incredible supporters as the lifeline to the survival of our incredible Birds of Prey and Blue Cranes.

Due to the fact that I don't do half measures, the cost of materials, running costs, an extra vehicle and staff salaries,
we need atleast R 3 million to get this centre off the ground.
I believe that it can be done.
Our current centre started with one pole at a time, a second centre can not take years to build, we need it soonest, for the sake of our Birds.
R10....R50.....R100 000 ..... R 1million at a time, and in no time a massive difference can be made.
