Successful skincare is as much about understanding the lifestyle, lifestage and mindset of our patients as it is about the ingredients of the products we'll use.

Microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-injuries in the skin, signalling your body’s natural repair process. This response triggers your wound healing response which in turn removes damaged, fragmented collagen and elastin within the treated area and initiates the production of new, healthier collagen and elastin.response.

The result? An increase in new collagen and elastin production. Visible changes in skin texture, firmer skin, softer fine lines, improved acne scarring and a healthier overall skin.

Healthy skin isn’t created overnight - it’s built treatment by treatment. Your skin does the work - at Fig, we simply guide the process.

Pigmentation doesn’t take a holiday in summer. It’s the result of cumulative UV exposure over many years, not just one sunny day.

During winter, UV exposure is generally lower, making it the ideal time to treat pigmentation. With less UV interference, your skin can respond more effectively to treatment while we reduce existing pigmentation and put the right preventative measures in place for the warmer months ahead.

Treat in winter. Protect in summer. That’s how we achieve long-term results.

Microneedling is one of the most versatile treatments in skin rejuvenation and for good reason.

Here are 4 reasons WHY to choose microneedling:

✨ Suitable for ALL skin types and skin tones when performed correctly.
✨ Direct delivery of active ingredients straight to the dermis.
✨ The controlled injury from the microneedling triggers your body’s natural repair team to remove and remodel the dermis.
✨ Improves skin texture, helping to soften acne scars, fine lines and uneven skin over time.

Remember, collagen isn’t produced overnight. It takes 3 months to make new collagen fibers. The best results are achieved through consistency - not after one treatment. There no quick fixes when come rebuilding collagen and remodeling the dermis.

Get the most from your Microneedling sessions

Microneedling isn’t a one-and-done treatment. Just like going to the gym, consistency is what creates long-term change.

✔️ Plan for a course of 4–6 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. *number of treatment is patient dependant

✔️ Never skip sunscreen. Daily SPF 50+ is non-negotiable. Protecting your skin from UV damage which has a knock on effect on collagen production.

✔️ Use a potent Vitamin C serum. Look for 15% or higher L-ascorbic acid, Pure Vitamin C, to support collagen synthesis, improve skin brightness and protect your skin from free radicals.

✔️ Be patient. There are no quick fixes real results come from consistency, commitment and trusting the process.

✔️ Choose your practitioner carefully. Microneedling is a powerful treatment and your skin deserves a professional who has the knowledge, experience and your best interests at heart.

The best results happen when professional treatments and the right homecare come together.

❓If you’re considering microneedling and would like honest advice on whether it’s right for your skin, come chat to Sally at Fig Aesthetics.

Let’s keep it simple …

You may think these are just three products.
But what you may not realise is that together they are capable of doing three very important things for your skin:
Protect. Correct. Prevent.

“Give me healthy skin, a touch of glow and minimal makeup and I’m happy.” Is the aspired treatment outcome for good portion of the patients.

These three never leave my handbag:

💊 Ovelle D3I’ve personally been taking a form of Pycnogenol® since I was 24 years old. I’m now 41.

More than a skin-brightening supplement, Pycnogenol® helps protect collagen and elastin, supports the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid production, increases resistance to UV exposure by up to 80% and may help reduce pigmentation by up to 37%.

✨ Heliocare 360° Body Glow SPF 50+
I even use it as a highlighter on my cheekbones.

Fernblock® technology helps neutralise free radicals generated by sun exposure while protecting against UVA, UVB, visible light and infrared radiation. The added glow leaves the skin looking healthy, radiant and protected.

😎 Lamelle Helase Photo-Repair Tint SPF 50+
Tint No. 2 has become my daily foundation, sunscreen and skin treatment in one. I even run and swim in it.

The iron oxides help protect pigmentation-prone skin from visible light, while the photo-repair technology supports DNA repair, reduces inflammation and helps prevent collagen breakdown and premature ageing.

With over 20 years of experience in aesthetics, Sally cuts through the noise and confusion of the modern skincare market, combining science, expertise and experience to create personalised treatment plans focused on what truly works for your skin.

At Fig, we believe that great skin starts with understanding it. That’s why we don’t simply treat skin concerns, we help you understand why they occur, what influences them and how to achieve lasting results.

Because when you understand your skin, you make better decisions, get better results and feel part of the process.

That’s the Fig difference.

Confidence in your skin is always the goal.

Post-acne scars can hold onto a time of low confidence. Luckily, our skin can remodel with the right approach.

Microneedling, sometimes combined with subcision, helps break down scar tissue and release the connective tissue pulling the skin down.

How to identify the types of scars:
Box scars: defined edges
Ice pick scars: deep, narrow pits
Rolling scars: wave-like depressions
