I don't know if I could properly count the number of times someone has asked me: "So how did you end up as a makeup artist?" So, I figured I would write down my journey to where I am today!

I started to get really into makeup when I was in high school. I always watched my mom put on her makeup and I was fascinated about the power of makeup and what it holds. How it truly brings out the beauty within yourself and how it makes you feel. So, I started to jump into her makeup bag, picking up one brush at a time. At that time, I had no idea what makeup was about and how it worked.

That is when the love for makeup for me really started, just trying to figure everything out by myself.

The love for makeup grew more inside me and that is when I discovered YouTube makeup tutorials and my world of makeup exploded. I learned all the tips and tricks from what type of eyeshadow to use for a specific eye colour, to how to contour different face shapes and beyond.

While I was in high school, I recognized that I really, really enjoyed the world of makeup, but I don't think I had any kind of direction as to which way I wanted to go. And believe it or not, I ended up in drama school. With the knowledge I gained learning and teaching myself about makeup, I had a few opportunities to do some of my drama plays with makeup, but it was still not enough for me. I wanted more!

I finished my drama course and life took me in a whole different direction of drama and makeup but I never lost the love for makeup over the years.

Fast forwarding to today, it was the year of 2009 when I picked up my first makeup brush, this was 13 years ago and I was only 16 years old.

My love for makeup has brought me so many opportunities in my life over the years. It opened up the door for me to become a qualified Skin care specialist (still adding on to that list) and on top of all that, today I’m running my own makeup business on the side.

I would definitely not be anywhere close to where I am today without the never-ending support of my family and friends. There have been many people who have helped me along the way and still do, from the simple "likes" on social media, to supporting me financially - especially in the beginning.

I am looking forward to what the rest of 2022 brings, and beyond. Come and join my journey with me!
