I started Kwik Ads on 01/06/2005 in a small town in Somerset East in the Eastern Cape (South Africa) At First I just had a local business advertisement media and when everybody in the town started knowing me, I moved to the next town. In the end I serviced 9 different towns (Somerset East, Graaff-Reinet, Cradock, Bedford, Adelaide, Fort Beaufort, Grahamstown, Pearston and Cookhouse), and everybody
was very sad when I moved to the Western Cape. The response was so good, and everybody was so excited that I had to go (again) to Ashton, and then Robertson/McGregor and the next town, and the next town and eventually I've ended up in Worcester...
People were excited about the concept of advertising their business and knowing that it would be seen by local farmers and the community. At first I thought of putting my business guides in the post office boxes. I've distributed two towns already (Montagu and Swellendam) and Robertson, Bonnievale and Worcester's guide will "hit the streets" by the end of 2012. My lifelong dream is to create a shop window where you can find anything from your local butchery to a travel agency, to a tow-in service.. What products to use to clean your hubbie's dirty grease overalls. Where to go if you have a bad "hair-day".
