Senzo Robert Meyiwa was born in 24 January 1984 and was killed 26 October 2014. He was a South African professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for and captained both Orlando Pirates in the Premier Soccer League, and the South Africa national team.

On 26 October 2014, Meyiwa was shot and killed in a robbery at his girlfriend house in Vosloorus He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital in Johannesburg.Three people were believed to have been involved in the shooting, and police released composite images of two suspects.One suspect was arrested on 31 October 2014 and appeared in court, but he was freed on 11 November 2014 due to lack of evidence. Meyiwa's death sparked outrage over the country's high crime and murder rates.

Sarah Baartman, also spelled Sara, sometimes in the diminutive form Saartje, or Saartjie, and Bartman, Bartmann, was a Khoisan woman who was exhibited as a freak show attraction in 19th-century Europe under the name Hottentot Venus, a name that was later attributed to at least one other woman similarly exhibited. The women were exhibited for their body type that was uncommon in Western Europe which was perceived as a curiosity at that time, and became subject of scientific interest as well as of erotic projection.
