There are not many constants in this life, but Angela was one of mine.

We have walked a journey together that not many people have the privilege of walking. We have “lifed” together from childhood until now. We have simply always been there. Not necessarily at the centre of each other’s stories, but an integral part of them.

So, to notify you of her passing is one of the hardest things I will ever have to do.

Yesterday, our Ang lost her fight with illness and joined the angels.

To say I am heartbroken could never quantify the loss I feel. But one thing I know for certain is that she would expect me to pick myself up and keep moving forward.

For all of you who had the privilege of working with Angela, you will know she was a fighter. She fought for everything she believed in. Over the past 13 years she created opportunities for so many people. She became personally invested in every candidate she helped, and her tenacity and willingness to do whatever she could for her clients will forever be unrivalled.

So, to hear that she lost this fight must mean that no one would ever have stood a chance against the dragon she had been slaying for the past two years.

How the two of us fought for this little business over the years… only we will ever truly know. The thought of doing it without her is something I never imagined I would have to face.

Her place in my heart, and in our business, can never be filled because she was, in the truest sense of the words, one of a kind.

It has been the greatest privilege to work beside this warrior for all these years.

In business we face many challenges, but this will, without question, be the hardest one I will ever have to push through.

Although I know “the show must go on”, I am asking for a little grace from both our clients and our candidates while we navigate the coming days, attend to Angela’s affairs, and support her mom and family through this unimaginable loss.

Please know that we remain committed to every client and every candidate, and we will continue doing everything we can to ensure that our service remains uninterrupted while we work through this incredibly difficult time.

We will find our rhythm again. We will keep creating opportunities. And we will make sure that Angela’s legacy lives on in every life we continue to change.

Farewell, my sister.

I’ll see you on the other side.

Watch over us. Guide us. We’ll continue to build this dream with the same love, courage and tenacity that you brought every single day.

Role Purpose

The purpose of a NailBar Beauty Specialist is to deliver high-quality Nail and Beauty treatments within a trusted retail environment, ensuring a professional, hygienic, and customer-centric service experience that builds client loyalty, supports retail objectives, and enhances the in-store customer offering.

VACANCY REQUIREMENTS:
• Certificate/ or Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Somatology, & or Nail Technology (Advantageous).
• 1 - 3 years practical experience within a Salon, Nail Bar, & or similar professional beauty environment (ESSENTIAL).
• Nail Technician (Gel, Tips, Acrylic, etc
• Strong practical skills in Manicures & Pedicures, and Basic Nail Care Techniques (ESSENTIAL).
• Competency in Eyebrow Threading, Shaping, and/or Basic Facial Waxing (e.g. Brows, Lip, Chin, etc.) (ESSENTIAL).
• Solid understanding of Hygiene, Sanitation, and Health & Safety Standards within a retail environment (ESSENTIAL).
• Good knowledge of Nail & Beauty Products, with the ability to recommend suitable options to clients (ESSENTIAL).
• Exposure to working in a customer-facing, high-footfall retail environment (ADVANTAGEOUS).
