*Day one, the skin is calm and smooth, still a little prickly as circulation kicks in.
*Day two, the itch starts as the skin regenerates and tightens.
*Day three to five, the peeling arrives, most visible in the morning, and on deeper skin tones that includes some grey and patchiness before it clears. By day twelve, fully healed and even.

Every stage in between is normal, and the right post care is what determines how evenly your skin heals. That includes SPF.
