Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting our international material suppliers at the Ruby Rose manufacturing facility. 🌍✨
At Ruby Rose, we believe quality starts with the right partnerships. By working with trusted, certified suppliers, we ensure that every product is manufactured to the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.
These visits allow us to share knowledge, explore innovation, improve our processes and strengthen our commitment to sustainability through responsibly sourced materials and reduced plastic use.
Because delivering safe, high-quality menstrual products isn’t just our goal - it’s our responsibility. 🩷
✨ Partnership in Action ✨
Ruby Rose is proud to be an official social partner of the UCT GSB Women in Business Club.
What makes this partnership especially meaningful is that it is already creating tangible impact.
Following the launch of the Women in Business Pad Drive in support of CoolPlay , the response from the UCT GSB community, partners and supporters has been incredible.
Together, we have already raised funds and distributed more than 1 700 packs of sanitary pads, helping to restore dignity and support girls who would otherwise face barriers caused by period poverty.
But we’re not done yet…
The Pad Drive remains open until 31 July 2026 and every contribution helps us reach even more girls in need.

As Menstrual Hygiene Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the conversations, partnerships and progress that are helping shape the future of menstrual health across Africa. 🌍❤️
On 13 and 14 May, Ruby Rose participated in the African Menstrual Product Standards and Market Development Forum in Johannesburg, bringing together governments, standards bodies, industry leaders and civil society organisations committed to advancing menstrual health.
One of the key discussions focused on the development of the world’s first international standard for menstrual products - an important step towards ensuring women and girls everywhere have access to safe, quality menstrual products.
But one message stood out clearly - Standards alone are not enough.
To create lasting impact, we also need education, awareness, collaboration and sustainable markets that make compliant products accessible to those who need them most.
We are also incredibly proud to have joined the South African Menstrual Health Coalition, a collective of organisations working together to advance menstrual health, dignity and equity in South Africa.
As manufacturers, practitioners and advocates, we look forward to contributing our experience and insights to help drive meaningful change.
The conversations will continue beyond May and so does the work.
🌹 Here’s to a future where every woman and girl has access to safe, quality menstrual products and the dignity she deserves.

A well-functioning menstrual health market can ensure access for all. 🩸💪
But until that system is fully built, millions still need immediate support.
Your support helps :
✅ Deliver menstrual health education
✅ Reach vulnerable girls and women
✅ Reduce stigma and school absenteeism
✅ Expand access to safe, quality products
At the same time, supporting women-owned businesses like Ruby Rose helps:
⭐️ Strengthen local manufacturing
⭐️ Reduce reliance on unsafe imports
⭐️ Build sustainable, long-term solutions
Fixing period poverty requires both systemic change and immediate action.
This is your role in the solution. 💖

The solution already exists - but it needs to scale.
Through Ruby Rose and partnership:
🌸 Mama Flo ambassadors are delivering on-the-ground education at retail outlets.
🌸 Communities are gaining access to safe, compliant products.
🌸 Women are earning income and building livelihoods.
This reflects what the African Menstrual Product Standard and Market Forum in Johannesburg in May 2026 highlighted:
✅ Sustainable markets require local manufacturing and distribution.
✅ Education and awareness are critical to demand creation.
✅ Partnerships are essential to scale impact.
We are:
⭐️Enabling informed choice.
⭐️ Supporting women-led businesses.
⭐️ Creating economic opportunity.
⭐️ Strengthening community systems.
This is what real menstrual health infrastructure looks like.

Safety and dignity are inseparable 📣
Without standards:
🩸Unsafe products enter the market
🩸Consumers lack information
🩸Trust is eroded
This we are making it clear:
✅ Safety is non-negotiable
✅ Compliance must be enforced
✅ Standards are essential infrastructure for dignity
We are building a system that protects women.

This , and are shining a light on a system that is failing millions.
📣 This is not just a supply issue.
It is a systemic failure - across affordability, availability, standards and awareness.
We believe dignity should not be accidental or conditional ‼️
✨ It should be built into the system.
This campaign is about rethinking how menstrual health is delivered - and building solutions that are safe, sustainable and equitable. 🌱
