Been in the sun a little too long? No problem! SASSUi’s got you. Here is your emergency After-Sun Care Kit.

Have a lukewarm shower with the gentle and cooling Eucalyptus & Mint soap, rinse off, step out, then apply a few generous spritzes of SASSUi After-Sun spray to slightly damp skin and you’re good to go (can also be stored in the fridge).

Unless it’s really bad, then your first step is to grab a cold, damp cloth, shake up the sunburn serum and pour on to the cloth. Gently apply cloth to the affected skin and feel the magic unfold. Remove when it gets too warm.

Repeat as needed.

On the 31st of December 2010 SASSUi was launched at Willemijn Murray, then located at the Lookout Centre.

And now, 15 years later, we are back! This time at Willemijn’s gorgeous shop in the Main Street, Yellowwood Centre.

Step into this eclectic store and feast your eyes and your olfactory senses while being assisted by the lovely and knowledgeable Robyn and Andrea.

Sometimes product development just flows from the get go, while other products need a longer incubation phase. And every now and then a product hits a bump such as lack of supplies, a change in packaging among others, and it can be minor, the solution often an improvement.

Here it is important to always take the time to look at the whole end product, critically. Does it still fulfill its purpose? Is it in line with SASSUI’s ethos? Is it aesthetically pleasing?

One of those bumps I hit a while ago with the Aroma Rock, where the only constant was the scent and everything else, from the rock to the base and the packaging was a continuous challenge until it became something that just didn’t fit together anymore. So I took a good and hard look at it, and although it isn’t fully sorted out yet, I am very pleased with the interim product 😊

Last year we created a most incredible scent by tuning into the land and its expression as scent. A blend of 22 different essential oils was conceived and birthed, in perfect harmony creating a small piece of heaven on a green earth, hence aptly named Terra Verde. A lot of local essential oils were used to create this intoxicating aroma and as luck would have it, Emily Moon River Lodge fell in love with it and ask us to create a range of amenities for them. Which we promptly did. From bath salts to room fragrance and honeymoon gifts, we did it all, and are so very proud of it.

In 2024 I started the SASSUi Studio Sessions, a concept of learning by doing, which is really a workshop with a fancier name. My aim was to empower people by teaching them a skill using easily available, everyday ingredients, simple techniques while also nurturing and nourishing everyone’s creative spirits. Little did I know how much fun this would be!

All my sessions for this year are already fully booked despite offering additional dates, thank you very much, but I have decided to offer private group sessions for the December holidays.

Between 4-8 people is all we need to have ourselves a great time making skin care products. On offer are
