I used to bandy the term “chemical-free” skincare about. Then someone pointed out that water is a chemical. So is air. So is my AYA Balm. Luckily I learned my lesson.
The real difference is where an ingredient started and how much was done to it before it reached your face.
Was it grown? Did the bees make it? Or was it built in a lab? The more processed it is, the less natural it is.
And the word “natural” on a label? Completely unregulated. So turn the bottle around and read the ingredients, not the front. 🧡
“Will AYA Balm help with shingles?” I’ve been asked this so many times, and I’ve just had shingles myself (second time, first was at 16 and that was a long, long, very long time ago 🙈).
Excuse the rambling. Shingles does something special to my nerves and my brain! 😅

Shingles has me reliving my 20’s 😩 The meds have me feeling like I’m trying dagga for the first time all over again - except dagga wasn’t the cool corner-store thing it is now, it was very much illegal in my day 😂
Anyway. The actual reason I’m here: someone asked me why AYA doesn’t have the little bunny rabbit on our website.
Honestly? It never crossed my mind, because it’s so obvious to me - we don’t animal test. We’ve never animal tested. The only “testing” that’s ever happened is on me, my husband, my kids, my mom, and anyone else brave (or willing) enough to try the products first 🐰
