✨ A Little Life Update ✨

To all my amazing clients, followers, family and friends…

Firstly, I want to apologise for being so quiet on this page over the past few months.

Many of my clients know that alongside my makeup artistry career, I was also one of the caregivers for my beloved Oumie. Caring for someone living with dementia is a journey filled with love, patience, and treasured moments, and balancing that with replying to messages, bookings, and everyday life wasn’t always easy. Thank you to everyone who showed me so much grace and understanding.

One of the greatest gifts I will forever cherish is that I had the privilege of doing my Oumie’s makeup just a few months before she passed away. She was never someone who wore makeup, so it became such a special memory for us both. Every time I open my makeup kit, I think of her beautiful smile, and that memory reminds me why I fell in love with makeup in the first place.

Earlier this year, my world changed when I lost my Oumie.

She wasn’t only my grandmother. She was my best friend, my safe place, my biggest supporter, my reason to get up every morning, and one of the greatest blessings in my life. Losing her has been the hardest journey I have ever walked, and there are still days where simply getting out of bed feels like a victory.

Although the grief will always be part of me, I know she would want me to keep following my dreams.

So today, I’m slowly opening my heart to makeup again.

In honour of my Oumie, she has become the face behind Chané Rudman Makeup Artistry. Every brushstroke, every client, and every look I create carries a little piece of the love and encouragement she gave me throughout my life.

Her legacy also inspired something very close to my heart.

💜 Len-Lea Legacy 💙

Named in honour of my Oupa Leonard and Ouma Lydia, Len-Lea Legacy was created to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia, support caregivers and families, and help old age homes and those in need with essentials such as toiletries, adult nappies, and care items. Most importantly, our mission is to be a voice for those who are so often unheard and to remind every family walking this journey that they are not alone.
