According to the weatherman some days the sun shines and other days it does not.

Yet we know that the sun shines 24/7/365.

Even when we perceive it to be dark (night time) the sun is still beaming its rays in earth’s direction. Our definition of the sun’s status has nothing to do with the sun’s condition; it is actually a description of what we are looking at based on our relative position to the sun. In the same way what we describe when talking to others, defines whether we are looking at our vision or our circumstances; whether we are optimistic or pessimistic.

A simple shift in position can change our perspective

Dispel guilt

Guilt is the burden you were not created to carry.

Guilt gives the accuser unimaginable power over the accused

It has the ability to threaten your very existence to get you to do things you should not do, or do things you know you should not do

The more you try to conceal the truth the greater the cost

The great news is that the smallest light of confession can eliminate the deepest l, darkest shadow of guilt

A weight will see to lift and you will be able to travel your life journey with a humility that transcends understanding

The price for your guilt has already been paid in full

You are no longer condemned

In my call to action today, I would like to ask you; what guilt and condemnation are you allowing you to carry. Why not take action, brave it out and deal with and disposed of it? Be strong and courageous!! I am rooting for you.

What we believe is the result of what we have thinking about which is fed by what you listen to

The more we think about something the more we tend to hear related information

It appears that our dominant thoughts influence what we hear

Two people can listen to the same information but get completely different messages

The negative thinker seems to extract facts that support why something cannot be done (fear) while a positive person uncovers the truth that confirms why something can and must be done (faith).

If the same information is able to produce two opposing results then we can change what we hear by changing the focus of our thoughts

If negative information fuels fear and positive input strengthens our faith, then we should choose wisely what we listen to

Make the choice today to choose the voice you listen to; a voice of value because your time and life is valuable

Limiting labels

Quote: a label that is accepted is a label that limits

Parents, siblings, relatives, friends, teachers, colleagues all may all have labelled you in some way.

Perhaps they have convinced you that you would never amount to much, that you are the black sheep or the dark horse in the family.

Maybe they have labelled you by a mistake you made, a weakness you showed or an awkwardness you demonstrate when doing something not aligned with your gifts and talents.

Perhaps you have a design feature that is different to others and you have been given a nickname that reaffirms your uniqueness as a weakness or something to be mocked. Don’t limit God; Nick Vujisjck story

None of these his matters though unless you begin to confess the labels openly to others.

It’s time to stop repeating negative statements like ‘I am not good at…, I am always..,,,. You are unlimited, you have unbelievable potential

What label were you given which has imposed limitations and created toxicity in your life? Let's end it right here and now. How about between now and the next Gem, you rewrite your own label and rehearse it aloud, three times a day, for the coming week?

It’s easy to blame others , every failure does. I have always been fascinated by a biblical story of a man who used to stay at the side of a pool called Bethesda. It’s a force of habit that whenever I read a story, I like to zoom in deeper than what’s on the surface.

This man was found by Jesus after 38 whole years; no jokes, 38 years!! I think the use of the word flabbergasted is befitting to describe my thoughts about the man’s story. His excuse was , I have no one to take me into the pool. I think the man must have been a South African.
In his mind’s eye, it was totally justifiable why in 38 years he had not been able to dip into the pool which was his way out of his situation.

My next point is on how the account of the story goes on to show how a certain encounter brought about a shift in a split second.

The marching orders he was given were simple, ‘get up, take up your bed and walk’. The irony was that all the actions he was to take he had not been able to do the for 38 years.

If you think about it, for a man in his situation , these were the most unreasonable instructions.

It took a decision on his side to believe that he could do it. Similarly , I would like to submit to you that your breakthrough awaits your decision to say ‘today is the day where my life turns around’. A faith driven decision and action is all it takes .

My question is, what’s your 38 years? Is it a bad relationship with someone close? What decision and Micro action must you take today to make the next moment, day, week, month and year different from your past 38 years. Note the word action! This is where the magic happens.

I would like to know how you would put this into immediate action. Be bold and see your life changing in incremental stages. Each decision and action constitutes a positive seed into your desired future and as you know, a seed sown will result in a harvest.

MAPGEM 1 - Destination Distractions

Let your destination distract you from your situation.

If you focus on your situation it will become your destination. What you look at is what you see. You can only do well on what you are focused on. Your focal point is something that you can choose. Turn your head and point it in the direction of what you want.

Find a vision that is strong enough to hold your attention despite the situation you find yourself in. It’s your ticket to freedom. If you focus on your situation, your nightmares come true; but focus intently and continuously on your destination and your wildest dreams will begin to materialise.

Neither the situation nor the destination holds the power. The power lies in your chosen point of focus.
What holds your attention defines your reality. Change the visual input and you will change your physical output. Shift your focus and experience the change. Try it. It works.

How would you define your focus? Over the coming week, give yourself a challenge to apply laser focus on only those thoughts, decisions and actions which propel you towards your destination
