The older I get, the less interested I am in making my skin participate in every skincare trend on TikTok 😂
No more buying everything that goes viral.
No more over-exfoliating because “tingly means it’s working.”
And definitely no more changing my entire routine because of one breakout.
The biggest lesson? **Good skincare is usually less exciting than we think.** It’s finding what your skin actually needs and being consistent with it.
Your skin doesn’t always need *more*. Sometimes it just needs you to stop confusing it. 😭🤍
What’s one skincare habit you’ve stopped doing?
Hormonal acne is driven by hormones, so skincare can help manage it, but it may not treat the root cause. Consider seeing a doctor and getting your hormones assessed for the right treatment plan.
Post-acne marks and a R1 000 budget? These are the products I’d put in my basket. ✨
Buy or pass? 👀 If you only had R500, which products are actually worth your money?
If I had acne and could only shop at Clicks, this is exactly what I’d buy. Save this for your next skincare run. ✨
A simple skincare routine for women who want hydrated, healthy-looking skin without using ten different products. ✨
Start with the CLEANSE Hydrating Cleansing Cream to gently remove dirt and impurities without leaving the skin feeling stripped.
Follow with the RADIANCE Glow Mist for an extra boost of hydration and freshness.
Lock it in with the HYDRATE Hydrating Gel Moisturiser or Gel Cream to keep the skin feeling soft, smooth and comfortable.
Finish every morning with the SUN PROTECTION Complete Shield SPF50 to protect your skin from daily sun exposure.
Four steps. No complicated routine. Just cleanse, hydrate, moisturise and protect. 🤍

Not everything in skincare needs to cost a small fortune… but some things are worth the investment. ✨
The key is spending more where quality, formulation and professional guidance can actually make a difference, instead of collecting expensive products that look beautiful on the shelf and do absolutely nothing for your skin.
From sunscreen you genuinely enjoy wearing to a properly formulated retinoid, barrier support and expert advice, these are the skincare splurges that may save you money in the long run.
What is one skincare product or treatment you paid more for and would happily buy again? 👀
Save this for your next skincare shopping trip.
Dry skin on a R500 budget? Here’s a simple routine focused on comfort, hydration and protecting the skin barrier. ✨
A gentle cream cleanser helps clean without leaving the skin feeling tight, squalane supports moisture retention, and a nourishing moisturiser helps keep dryness under control. Finish with sunscreen every morning because dry skin still needs daily protection.
Total: approximately R495
Simple, effective and no unnecessary ten-step routine. Save this for your next skincare shop.
Combination, acne-prone skin on a R500 budget? Here’s a simple routine that treats breakouts without completely upsetting your skin barrier. ✨
A gentle cleanser keeps things calm, azelaic acid helps target blemishes, redness and post-acne marks, while an oatmeal moisturiser supports irritated skin. Finish with SPF 50 every morning because treating dark marks without sunscreen is basically skincare with one shoe on. 😭
Total: approximately R489
Save this routine for your next skincare shop and introduce the treatment gradually, especially if your skin is sensitive.
